Wow it’s been so long since I’ve written a blog post and I’m super sorry that it’s taken FOREVER. I’ve been busy with work, travel and MY NEW YOUTUBE CHANNEL! Yes you heard that right. I am now vlogging!!!!! I’ve been wanting to do it for so long and I finally took the leap of faith and posted my first 3 vlogs!!!
If you wanna subscribe to my channel – click here! It would mean the world to meee 💜
Okay. So now that I started vlogging, I won’t be able to update my blog as much as I did before BUUUUUUT rest assured I will still be the same old leadiiinglady – meaning I’ll still post about skincare, makeup, fashion and other things. But instead of writing it, I’ll be talking about it.
ANYWAYYYY. Time to talk about my current skincare faves! And they are from The Body Shop.
When I first saw these face masks, I was kinda hesitant to buy them because of the price (1K+ for just ONE tub). Yeah, I know, super pricey. And so I decided to do my research first. Turns out, these masks were doing so well!!! And so when I went to the states, I decided to buy one on my very first day there – The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask.
1. Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
I bought this one first for two reasons: one, because it’s their best seller and two, because I thought that among all these masks, this one suited mine the most. And I was right!!!!!!
This mask is perfect for my skin! Quick background – I’m combination but a bit more on the oily side and so my pores get clogged up all the time. And so I needed something that would really clean my pores and purify my skin. This mask aims to do just that. The Himalayan Charcoal works to unclog the pores and deep cleanse the skin to rid it of impurities. If you guys are familiar with skincare, you’d know that clay masks and charcoal masks are holy grails for those with acne and problematic skin – aka ME.
Aside from it cleansing my skin, this mask also exfoliates it! After applying the mask and leaving it on for 10 minutes, I would wash it off while rubbing it circles GENTLY on my skin. It would leave my face feeling clean and smooth. Just the way I like it!
For those of you with sensitive skin, just be careful! The mask may cause redness or a stinging sensation. If it does, maybe it’s just not for you 😦
2. Chinese Ginseng and Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask
This is the second mask I got! The ingredient, rice, has always been good to my skin. I just love the feeling and the brightness it gives me. Which is why after enjoying the first mask so much, I had to buy this next! Tbh though, before getting this, I haven’t used the ingredient Ginseng as much but I heard it’s very good for brightening your complexion and caring for dark spots which is why I thought… WHY NOT?!
I LOVE THIS MASK. My only regret is not buying this sooner!!! One, it smells good!!! I love the smell – it’s as if I were getting a legit facial in a spa or something. Two, it feels good!!! When I put it on my skin, it doesnt sting or feel weird. Three, it leaves me looking brighter than ever! Like I said, rice has never let me down BUT RICE with GINSENG??? DAMN. What a great combo <333
I will be using this mask every week for sure!!!
3. Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Night Mask
Okay. So this isn’t in the exact same category as the first two. It’s not a wash-off mask. It’s a leave-on mask that you put on before going to bed. But I’m adding it here because it’s another one of my faves.
Tea tree oil has always helped me, whether it be in the form of a cleanser, toner or oil. And so when I saw this mask, I had to take a chance and buy it. I tried it that night and I was not disappointed. Tea tree is great for those of you with troubled skin because it helps clear the imperfections as well as get rid of bacteria and soothe your skin.
When I used this, I woke up to skin that wasn’t red at all. Usually my skin gets red but the redness wasn’t there. My skin didn’t feel irritated or look too oily. In fact, my skin looked good. And so if you have problematic skin like me and you’re looking for a night mask, this could be the one for you! I really salute The Body Shop for their Tea Tree line because everything is just amazing – from their masks down to their tiny Tea Tree Oil bottles. And so go go go guys!
I know this was a short review but I hope this helped you guys out!!! If you guys are thinking about buying these masks, go for it! Remember, you don’t need to buy them all at once. Buy one first and take your time. Don’t forget to do a patch test just in case!
I’ll be updating my blog again soon with more makeup shoots and so stay tuned for that! 💜
Plus I can finally wear eye makeup!!! And so what better way to celebrate than do a makeup shoot?!??!
This is a shoot I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I got inspired because I saw these cool galaxy contact lenses while I was scrolling through my facebook feed and so I said, “Hey, why not do a shoot like this???” Unfortunately, I still cannot use contact lenses because I’m recovering from an infection (HUHU) and so I decided to just make the face makeup more bongga instead!
I wanted to make this shoot a bit different from the rest and so I decided to do 3 looks: one each representing a different planet. I chose Mars, Neptune and of course, Mother Earth. I chose these 3 planets based on their colors since I wanted a variety! (And so yes, I researched). And for each look, I wanted it to be placed differently on my face and so one is focused on the forehead while the other is focused on half of the face and so on. (you’ll see what I mean hehe)
Anyway, this shoot was pretty simple and I really enjoyed it 💖 It was actually a lot quicker than I thought it would be 😅 Hope you guys like it! Let me know in the comments what you guys think! Looking forward to it xx
For Neptune, the color palette was full of blues, purples and blue greens (I LOVE THESE COLORS). For my face makeup, I used eyeshadow (YES, that’s a lot of eyeshadow) but the effect was magical – I loved how sparkly and glittery it was. I used the Nubian 2 Palette as well as my Pro 28 Rainbow Mettalics. I then used some face paint sticks with metallic colors, purple, blue and green to kind of add some depth and shape. And then I blended it all in.
For this look, I chose to have bold brows and lips thus the really dark brows and the black lips. I loved the effect and how it looked dark yet magical. Oh, and I used an Acrylic Marker (that writes on ANYTHING) for the stars and constellations. I know, pretty crazy. It was the only thing that worked!!!! (But of course, I made sure that I could easily wash it off by testing it first. The last thing I wanted was a permanent stain on my face. Hahahah anyway, here’s the final look! 💜
I chose Mars as one of my three looks because I wanted to do a pinkish, reddish, goldish look <333 because the colors are beautiful!!! I loved how this turned out!!! I chose to do the half face one for this and I loved the effect. For my face makeup, I used the Nubian 2 palette again! This palette is so pigmented, it’s amaziiiing!!!!
I also used the metallic face paint pens such as orange and pink for more glitter and effect! I decided to keep my brows soft and as for my lips, I chose a red shade but made sure to add a bit of gold in the middle- for a “golden effect”. In the end, I love how this look looks burnt but golden at the same time. Definitely one of my faves ❤️
Of course, I wouldn’t forget our dear Mother Earth ❤ I decided to do Mother Earth with a twist which is to add some pink! (Cause you don’t see the pink from space right) The pink represents nature – all the pretty flowers!!! For this look, I wanted to kind of make it look like a mask. In the end, I figured I got it right cause when my cousin saw me, he said “Cool mask!” hahahaha. Again, I used the Pro 28 Rainbow Metallics palette as well as the Nubian 2 palette for my face makeup! It’s all about the blues and greens for this look!
For my eyes, I used the face paint pen to mark my under eyes with green and pink for an accent and I really liked the turn out. For my lips, I decided to keep it pink and natural – it was a really good decision because there was a nice contrast between the busy eye area and the chill lip area. Sometimes, simplicity is key 💙
AHHHH I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures as much I enjoyed painting the look ❤ It’s been a while and so it feels great to be back in the zone! AND, since I’m back, stay tuned for more makeup shoots!!! As well as something new on my blog soon! STAY TUNED Y’ALL ✨

So many people have been asking me, what are your favoriteskincare products? What would you recommend? Do you like this, do you like that?
To answer all of you, I decided to start this new part of my blog called: Leadiiinglady’s Love List 💘 (LLLL…..L2L2….. L4……) hahaha okay yeah Leadiiinglady’s Love List. This is where I will be writing about my loves or in other words, my faves.
This post in particular is about my personal skincare loves! So for all of you guys who have been asking me about my favorite skincare products, here they are all in one post!
Let’s start with my favorite oil cleanser of all time…
1. Banila Co Clean it Zero
This is my favorite oil cleanser OF ALL TIME. I cannot stress how magical this beautiful tub is. I’ve been using it EVERY SINGLE DAY. This is already my fourth tub!!! If you guys are looking for a good oil cleanser that isn’t too oily but still manages to clean your face super well, this is the one for you! I prefer this over liquid oil cleansers because after using these kinds of cleansers, my face feels super oily and my skin is oily to begin with and so this doesn’t really help my cause hahaha.
To use this product, all you have to do is use the spatula (it comes with a spatula) and get a spoonful of balm and then spread it all over your face! Spread it very well! Massage your face (but gently!!!) and be sure to take your time taking off all your make-up and the dirt on your face! And then wash your face with warm water. Follow up with your regular cleanser and voila! Your face is clean!
This is my go-to exfoliator! I just got this recently but I’m already in love with it! I’ve been looking for a good exfoliator for months, I’ve tried so many but I couldn’t find the right one. When I got this, it was like love at first sight!!! It really takes out my dead skin like it says it’s supposed to do and afterwards, my skin feels so soft.
Exfoliating is super important! Especially for those of you who have acne scars/combination skin like me. Exfoliating helps take out your dead skin cells and allows your skin to renew. This helps with your post acne scars and it helps even it out! What I also love about this product is that it doesn’t make a mess! plus there’s a lock thingy so you can bring it with you on your travels and not have to worry about it spilling!
You can buy this in the Beauty Bar! It’s a bit pricey but it’s a big bottle and since you’re only supposed to exfoliate at least once or twice a week, this will last you a long time! Remember, a little goes a long way!
3. COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
I love COSRX products. Hands down, one of the best skincare brands ever. The products are just so consistent, like I haven’t ran into any “bad” product. And so of course for this post, I’m bound to have a few COSRX products riiiight…. hahahaha.
This is my morning cleanser. It is wonderful. You know that feeling when you wake up with an oily face and all you wanna do is cleanse cleanse and cleanse to get rid of that oily feeling??? This is the best way! It takes off all the excess oil and dirt! But still leaves your face hydrated and soft! And guess what? It also takes off make-up REALLY WELL. I tried it once cause I was curious. And it really took everything off even without me rubbing it in that much!
Plus this cleanser brings your skin back to the normal pH level which helps your skin absorb the essences and serums you put after!
Tea Tree has always worked well with my skin. I guess it’s cause I’m acne prone and it helps get rid of the bacteria and helps soothe my skin when it’s inflamed or red!
I decided to try this essence out because I heard good reviews about it and I’m super glad I did! This really helps my skin! The tea tree in the formula helps prevent acne and heals it when I do have. I would recommend this to you guys who have combination/acne-prone skin! It is super gentle but super effective! Highly recommended! All you have to do is put three drops and pat it all over your face (after toner)!
You can buy this on a lot of online instagram beauty shops!
5. COSRX BHA Blackhead Powder Liquid
This is another one of my loves from COSRX! This is actually one of the first COSRX products I bought. I’ve always had a problem with acne cysts and I heard that this product helps prevent them and so I decided to try it out.
This is a chemical exfoliator that goes deep into the skin and works to clean the deepest parts to help prevent acne cysts from developing in the first place. I have to say that this super helped me! After I started using this for a while, I noticed that I started getting less pimples even during “my time of the month!”
I’ll soon have another blog post for just my AHA and BHA products to explain more about what they’re for and how you can use them so stay tuned for that! But if you’re using them already, don’t forget to put on SPF everyday because these are VERY STRONG chemical exfoliators and so your skin may a bit more sensitive to the sun!
Kiehl’s may a bit pricey but a lot of their products are worth the $$$! And so, I decided to buy this tiny bottle because I’ve always had a problem with my post-acne marks and I’ve read a few reviews saying this product did a lot for their scars. Since I am getting less pimples now, my aim is to work on my acne marks.
To see if this product really worked, I took a picture of my scars before and after. Since I have been using this product, I noticed that my acne marks have been fading. They’re still there but I noticed that I have been using less concealer to cover them up and whenever I would look in the mirror, I would notice that they wouldn’t be as obvious and as red as they used to be and so I could safely say that this product is really working for me. I only use are 2 drops and so I know this bottle will last a long time and hopefully by the time I finish it, my acne scars would be completely gone.
I would recommend this to those of you who have acne-marks or scars or even sensitive skin because Kiehl’s uses a lot of natural products and so this would be perfect for you guys!
You can buy this at any Kiehl’s branch!
7. My Scheming Face Masks
These face masks are from Taiwan and they are super cute!!! I mean look at that packaging! I’ve always been a sucker for cute packaging + face masks. I have so many!!!! I abolutely love using them especially during nights when I get too lazy to do my whole skincare routine.
I love how these face masks are affordable and effective! They’re a bit cheaper than korean face masks and if you notice, they are a lot thinner thus it says “invisible mask”.
My favorite out of all the different kinds is the mask with lemon! It really brightens my skin! And helps minimize my pores! I recommend this for those of you who like trying out new face masks and those of you with sensitive skin because these masks are very gentle and easy on the skin.
You can buy this at PCX for only P65!
8. BeautyFix Peel-Off Mask
I bought this recently because everyone said that this is way better than the normal nose strips. This is supposed to take off all the dirt and whiteheads and at the same time detoxify your skin.
I tried it out and wow I amazed with the results! On the container, it shows the mask all over the face but I decided to only put it on my t-zone. I left it on for about 20 minutes, afterwards, it was dry and ready to be peeled off. I have to admit that it HURT when I was taking it off. It hurt like crazy and so it took a while. But I know it was cause it was REALLY taking off all the dirt and whiteheads. When I looked at the mask, I saw so many and I was so amazed as to how much it took out.
Aside from that, my skin felt super soft!!! As if all the bumps disappeared. I recommend to use this every two weeks as to get rid of all the dirt and whiteheads deep within! This is way better than the regular nose strips you use! You’ll see a difference!
Get this at Watsons now!
9. PIOLANG 24K Gold Wrapping Mask
What I love most about this mask is that it’s gold. I mean, when I wear it I can’t help but feel like a “Golden Goddess” hahaha it’s really fun to wear! Plus it works 😉
This mask works to make your skin glow! And it really does! I like using this before I go out and start my day! I apply it with a spatula (I like using spatulas when I get products in tubs), I make it a bit thick and leave it on for thirty minutes and then I peel it off. Afterwards, my skin is glowing and I’m ready to take on the day 😉
This is my go-to eye cream! Eye cream is a must for me because I have dark dry under eyes and so I can’t live without my eye cream. It took me a while though to find the right one. I went through countless kinds before finding this one. But when I did, it was the perfect fit!
What I love about this eye cream is that it’s very affordable and very effective! And the brightness aspect happens right away. After putting it, I notice it brightens my under eye area and what’s a big plus for me is that it is VERY MOISTURIZING which is what I need. When I put concealer under my eye, it tends to become dry and I absolutely hate that and so I really needed something that can keep my skin moisturized all day and this is IT!
So if you guys have the same problem as me, go grab a small tub from Skinfood now! And guess what, it lasts a long time!!!
11. Apie’u Non Co Tea Tree Spot Patch
When it comes to acne cysts and pimples, this is the patch I use! Especially if they’re still starting out. These are medicated acne patches! I actually wrote a review on this and you can check it out here!
They contain Tea Tree and so again, this product is good for those of you who have combination or acne-prone skin! Whenever I feel a pimple starting to grow, I put this on at night and by the next morning, it’s almost completely gone! This is like my holy grail because one, it’s hassle free! You just put them on and boom, it’s gone! And two, it prevents me from touching them or making them worse. (Do not touch your pimples! The dirtiest body part are your fingers so please DONT)
You can buy this on yesstyle.com! It is very affordable so go go go!
12. KIEHL’S Micro-Blur Skin Perfector
Last but definitely not the least, another Kiehl’s skincare product! This is actually a sample size. What I like about this brand is that they have a lot of samples and so you can try out their products to make sure it works for you before spending all your money on a normal-sized product. I’ve been collecting samples of this one product in particular and I’ve been loving it so much that I think I’m ready to commit and buy the real thing.
This is a micr-blur skin perfector that works to minimize pores, smoothen the complexion of your skin and improve it in the process. To be honest, I’ve always been afraid of using these kinds of products because I felt that they would clog my pores and would cause more acne. BUT I talked to the doctor at Kiehl’s and she said that this product doesn’t do that and that’s why I decided to try it.
And it has done my skin WONDERS. Coming from an acne-prone girl, this is a big deal!!! hahaha the number one cause of acne is because the pores get clogged and dirt builds up inside it, causing—> pimples. But this product hasn’t given me any breakouts whatsoever!!! And I’ve been using it everyday! Isn’t that great??????? And so for you guys who have been looking for a product like this, go ahead and try this one out!
All you have to do is apply it after applying ALL your morning skincare products! It’s the last step before putting on your make-up! You can buy this at any Kiehl’s branch!
And so that was my love list for skincare products (as of now), I will be coming out with one again soon! Maybe next month… a whole new list and so stay tuned for that! 😉 Again, if you have any questions or concerns, be sure to comment! I will get back to you for sure! 🙂
Buuuut of course, aside from my skincare loves, I also have my make-up loves! And so be sure to check out my next post:
“Leadiiinglady’s Love List: Make-up 💄”
Plus I heard great reviews about my Disney Princess Make-up post and so get ready for part 2 coming out very soon! 😉

Til the next post!
P.s. My featured picture is a photo of me doing my thing hahahaha
I, for one, think that make-up isn’t about covering something up but highlighting something beautiful.
Today, I will be sharing with you my everyday make-up routine with a few twists! 😉
For this post, I will 1.) be writing about both drugstore brands as well as high-end brands so that you can get the best of both worlds and 2.) be including extra steps such as contour & highlight (even though I don’t use them everyday) for those who do!
Son&Park Beauty Filter Cream
Fit Me Matte (shade 110 porcelain) // Urban Decay NAKED SKIN (shade light-medium)
Etude House BIG Cover Cushion (shade sand) // REVLON ColorStay concealer (shade 10 fair)
RCMA No Color-powder // Coty AIRSPUN Loose face powder
L’Oreal Brow Artist (shade light brown) // Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate
Matte MAC Lipstick in Twig // NYX Soft Matte in Zurich
TADAAAAAA these are the products I am using for today’s post!!! I put them in order from beauty cream to lipstick and put the drugstore products and high-end products side by side so that you can see the two. Also, when you click each photo, it’ll specify the brand and shade I used.
I bought these brushes about a month ago but I only stated using them two weeks ago and omg I am annoyed at myself for not trying them right away! They are amazing! I’ve been using the big oval brush to apply my foundation and I love how it looks afterward. My face never ends up looking cakey/thick because this brush really blends the foundation on your skin but at the same time, the right amount of coverage is still there! I use the second biggest brush (4th from left) to blend in my contour and highlight. Note: I only use stick contour and so it’s perfect for me because a normal sponge would just wipe it away instead of blending it. I use the long pointy brush (5th from left) to draw my contour. Sometimes the stick is too thick and so I prefer to draw it on my face with this brush. Works like a charm! I use the third biggest brush (2nd from left) and the left most brush to apply my concealer. I usually use my fingers to dab my liquid concealer on my face and then I blend it with these brushes. Lastly, I use the small pointy brush on my eyes, usually for my bottom eyelash line. It is so much easier to use this than a regular eye brush!
Just a note when buying these kinds of brushes: make sure they arent too hard/rough or too soft. If they’re too hard, you might end up irritating your skin. If they’re too soft, it’ll be hard to blend your make-up. So in-between is what’s best! 🙂
Now onto the make-up part!
STEP 1: FOUNDATION
Before putting my make-up, I always make sure to finish my morning skincare routine first and wait at least 30-45 minutes so that the products are properly absorbed. Also, before putting my foundation on, I like to use SON&PARK’s beauty cream. It’s a light white cream that smoothens my skin & preps my it for all the make-up.
For this look, I’m using Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte + Poreless in shade 110 Porcelain. This foundation is actually a bit too light for me and so I usually mix it with the same kind of foundation but a darker shade (120 Classic Ivory) which is, on the other hand, too dark for me. To be honest, I have a hard time finding the right color of foundation because my skin is acidic and so the perfect shade for me would actually end up looking too dark.
I like to apply my foundation using my fingers byputting dots all over my face (as seen in the super awkward picture to the right hahaha). I do this so that my foundation is really spread out. Afterwards, I blend it with my big oval brush. This foundation is easy to blend as compared to others and it has a medium coverage.
STEP 2: CONCEALER
Always make sure your concealer is one shade lighter than your foundation! For this look, I’m using Revlon’s Colorstay in Fair. When putting concealer, I like to make upside down triangles under my eyes! Don’t just cover your eyebags, extend it! That way it looks more natural and you don’t look like a zombie. Aside from under my eyes, I also put concealer on some of my blemishes using the smallest oval brush! Try not to cover fresh pimples though because you’ll be doing more harm than good. Let them breathe so they can heal faster!
STEP 3: BLEND YOUR FACE MAKE-UP AND SET WITH POWDER
Blend everything with your brushes! Don’t press too hard on your skin though or else the make-up would just come off. Before moving on, I like setting my face make-up already with my setting powder, in this case Coty’s Airspun Translucent Loose Powder. That way when I apply the rest of the make-up, my face make-up won’t be affected/wiped off. Because sometimes when you don’t set your face make-up, it blends with your blush/contour and it gets all cakey and patchy which ends up not looking great 😦
STEP 4: EYEBROWS & EYE MAKE-UP
For this look, I’m using Brow Arist powder pencil from L’Oreal! It’s the natural brown shade. Brow make-up was one of the first things I got into in terms of this field (is that the right word??) When I was a kid, I bumped my face on a wall (LOL STUPID I KNOW) and so I grew up with this scar on my right eyebrow. I hated it. I mean, there’s a long bald line on my right eyebrow!!!!! hahahah and so anyway, I didn’t want it to be seen and so I researched on brow make-up and since then, I’ve been very into it.
I used to go dark and thick with the dipbrow pomade but recently, I started getting into more naturally looking brows. And so I’ve been using powder/liquid products such as the kind they sell in koren make-up stores! I use the k-palette 24 hours one! (It’s a bit pricey but SUPER WORTH IT!)
Don’t forget to blend your brows so that they’ll look much more natural instead of like a stick hahaha I’ve seen people with eyebrows as if they drew them on with a black marker. And personally, that’s not my thing. But hey, if you’re into that, by all means, go ahead!!!
For my eyeliner, I am using Maybelline’s Pencil Eyeliner (black)! I like this eyeliner because it is affordable but sometimes, it can smudge easily and I tend to rub my eyes and so…. yeah. Not really for me! 😦 For my mascara, I am using Maybelline’s Mega Plush Mascara! CAN I JUST SAY. Maybelline makes really good mascaras?? PLUS THEY ARE SUPER AFFORDABLE. If you’re looking for a mascara that isn’t pricey, go for Maybelline! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!! Afterwards, I use my Nippon Eyelash curler to curl my lashes!
For my everyday eye mak-up, I like to keep it simple and so most of the time, I don’t wear eyeshadow at all. But for this post, I decided to throw it in. Im using this eyeshadow palette my friend bought for me from Japan (HI LIZZIE!). It’s small but simple. For my whole lid, I used a glitery gold color and then just in the middle part, I added a bit of a rose gold color. I’m not sure if you see it but hopefully you do. And that’s it! I usually only put eyeshadow if I’m feeling dull or tired or pale so that it brightens up my eyes and eventually my whole face.
STEP 5: CONTOURING TIME! (OPTIONAL)
So this is optional because I don’t use contour everyday but I’m adding it here in my post for those who do 🙂
I like using cream contour sticks instead of powder. For me, the finish is more natural looking and it blends better with all the make-up.
For this look, I am using Maybelline’s Master Contour and Highlight stick. It’s kinda sad though cause I only needed one side of the stick which is the contour side and so now that side is flat while the other side is round which makes it kind of hard to use. I don’t use it directly on my face anymore though, I use the thin oval brush to draw it on my face so the lines are thinner and more precise as seen in the pictures 🙂
Before blending though, be sure to highlight your forehead (between your brows), the bridge of your nose, your chin and under the contour on your cheekbones with concealer so that your features are more highlighted and defined. Make sure to blend everything well! I like using the second biggest oval brush to blend everything in so that I end up with a more natural look.
As you can see, I have an oval shaped face and so contouring is a big help for me during performances/gigs but for my everyday look, I like to embrace my chubby cheeks and just keep it simple.
STEP 6 & 7: BLUSH AND HIGHLIGHTER (HIGHLIGHTER IS OPTIONAL)
For my blush, I am using Milani’s Baked Blush (02 Rose d’Oro). I bought this in the States and I absolutely love it plus the price is pretty good! I love how you don’t need much. It’s already super saturated and so you only need to apply a bit on your cheeks and then you’re good to go!
For my highlighter, I am using Wet n Wild’s Rainbow Highlighter! I actually bought this (impulsively) online but I don’t regret it one bit because it is very pretty. It’s very soft, not too strong but still gives you that kind of shine you want. It’s perfect if you’re going for an everyday natural make-up look! Apply the highlighter with a fan brush on top of your cheekbones, the tip of your nose and above your lip!
Lastly, the picture isn’t included here but…
STEP 8: SETTING SPRAY
I’ve been using the same setting spray since September, (it’s not a drugstore brand though but it is the best!) Make Up For Ever make-up setting spray! It’s gold!!!! 2-3 sprays are already enough! I use it all the time! Especially for gigs! Because when we put a lot of make-up we tend to look cakey and powdery but this setting spray makes our face glow and at the same time makes all the make-up look natural! I recommend this especially to theater people! My make-up lasts the whole day which is a big plus for me considering that I wear stage make-up almost every weekend.
(in my future posts, you’ll probably see me wearing a lot of chokers and headbands hahaha it’s what I’m really into right now!)
Now we move onto….
STEP 1: FOUNDATION
For this look, I am using Urban Decay NAKED Skin One and Done Hybrid Skin Perfector in shade Light-Medium. I was researching online and I saw that this foundation has many good reviews. It doesn’t only serve as a foundation but also gives skin treatment and protection. It aims to even your skin tone as well as make your pores smaller! Isn’t that great? Compared to Maybelline’s Fit Me though, this foundation is a bit harder to blend because it’s thicker. And so make sure to spread it evenly (use your fingers to put dots all over your face) and blend it well with the big oval paddle brush!
STEP 2: CONCEALER
Here I am using Etude House’s Big Cushion Concealer in shade sand! I love cushion concealers because they are so easy to apply and blend! Plus this cushion concealer smells really nice and I like that 🙂 As you can see in the picture, I dabbed a bit of concealer under my eyes, extending it to an upside triangle like a while ago because this helps the overall look look more natural.
STEP 3: BLEND & SET
Don’t forget to blend your make-up well! This look was harder to blend because of the foundation and so I took a bit more time doing this!
TADAAAA it’s done! As you can see I blended my make-up. I also set it with RCMA’s No Color Powder (which I love btw!) Best setting powder I tried so far!!! The finish is not cakey or powdery at all! Very VERY natural!
STEP 4: EYEBROWS & EYE MAKE-UP
My brows are a bit darker for this look but I’m still keeping them natural-looking! For this, I am using, Anastasia’s Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate. I was supposed to get dark brown but it looked too dark on me and so I decided to use this chocolate-y shade which I really like! Again, I did not make my brows super dark. I only used a bit and just blended it for a more natural look.
For my eyeliner, I am using my favorite one, Browhaus heavy duty bi-liner! Note: I use this eyeliner for my everyday look instead of liquid eyeliner because it looks more natural. I love how this eyeliner is subtle but at the same time does its job!
Eyeshadow time! For this look, I am using Tarte’s Tartelette Palette & Juvia’s Nubian 2 Palette! I like using my fingers to apply my eyeshadow when I’m doing an everyday make-up look. First, because it’s easier and second because you can put more product. I used the color “Super mom” from the Tarte palette for my base. And then after, I used the color “Zuri” from the Nubian 2 palette which is a bit gold-ish (similar to my first look). I topped it off with “Nefertiti“, a pinky-orange-y glitery shadow, just in the middle area of my lid.
STEP 5: CONTOURING TIME! (Optional)
Again, this is optional. I don’t usually include contour in my everyday make-up rountine but this is for those who do! For this look, I am using TonyMoly’s cream stick contour in the darkest shade. As you can see, I really love my cream contours. I just think they look more natural compared to powder.
Im not sure if you notice but this contour is lighter than the Maybelline one and so I prefer to use this for a more natural look.
Almost done with this look! For this, I am using Tarte’s Amazonian Clay in shade sensual and I am telling you now THIS IS IT. It says it’s supposed to stay on for 12-hours and it does!!! I would put this on before working out just to try it out and after it is still there! This is a big deal for me because I am naturally very pale. I wish I had those naturally rosy cheeks but I don’t and so it’s important for me to find the perfect blush and THIS IS IT. Plus it looks so natural and it’s the perfect shade of peach! Don’t put too much though or else you’ll end up looking orange!
For my highlighter, I am using Anastasia’s Glow Kit in Sun Dipped which I also L O V E. There are four shades! For this one, I used “Summer” which is a light gold shade. It makes you GLOW. Seriously. Like check the picture below!!! This highlighter palette is a bit pricey but it is SO WORTH IT!!! Don’t forget to highlight the tops of your cheekbones, the tip of your nose and above your lip! And also, just a note: this highlighter is super pigmented so take it easy! A little will go a long way!
STEP 8: SETTING SPRAY
Don’t forget to lock your make-up in! Again, I wrote about this spray up there ^ 🙂 This is my holy grail!!! (Please don’t mind my awkward face, I really was spraying my face hahaha)
IT IS DONE.
This finished look is actually similar to the one I did with the drugstore brands and so this comes to show that both brands/products are good and it’s up to you what you prefer to use!
If you want it, buy it! If you love it, flaunt it! ✨
As you can see, I don’t have perfect skin, but I’m okay with that 🙂 And before you ask, no, I don’t wear make-up because I am uncomfortable with my skin. I wear it because I want to.
And so go for it!!!! It’s an art that anyone can enjoy. Absolutely anyone.

Who knew that a random, corny, silly excuse for a Twitter username would turn into this?
I started using the username ‘leadiiinglady’ for Twitter back in 2012. It was inspired by musical theatre which I am still very much into ’til this day. People used to ask me, “Why do you have three I’s?” and my response? Because ‘leadinglady’ was already taken and two ‘I’s’ felt incomplete. And so I went with three.
Ever since then, the nickname just stuck to me. It’s become my instagram username, my email address & now, my blog. ‘Til this day, people know me for it. My friends know me for it. Even my family knows me for it.”Hey it’s leadiiinglady!” / “Hey leadinglady with three I’s!” hahaha and sooo now, it’s just… well, me.
That’s why, even before I created this blog, I already knew what was going to be shown up there in the title page of my very own site: leadiiinglady.
Call it cheesy or cliche but hey, it’s who I am. Sure, my life may not be that exciting compared to the others out there but I guess that’s what makes me a bit different. In this blog, I am going to write about and share with you guys the simple joys that I experience everyday. Because in the end, those things are what make life count, what make life beautiful. And so get ready for posts about all kinds of beauty, staying healthy, adventures near and far, as well as posts about the arts, both performing and visual.
Just maybe, through this blog, you’ll get to discover the simple joys in your everyday life. Because every day counts, and every day is worth living to the fullest. 🙂
