March Skincare Haul 💜

Hi guys! So I’m finally posting about my skincare haul ❤️ Lately, I have researching & researching on so many products! And because of that – I ended up buying a lot 😅 I know, I know. It’s a bit overwhelming but hey, it’s the one thing I like to splurge on (aside from make-up 😉)

Anyway, I wanted to share this with you guys because a lot of these things I bought are on a lot of bloggers’ top ten lists!!! Idk, maybe you guys are thinking of buying them or maybe you guys want to try a few of these out. And so for this blog post, I am going to be writing about my first impressions of each product as well as how they’ve been performing so far. This is not an extensive review though since I have only been using these products for a while BUT as soon as I feel that I’ve been using these products enough, I’ll let you know what I REALLY think!

1. DearKlairs Supple Preparation Toner

So I ran out of my COSRX AHA BHA Clarifying Toner and needed a replacement. I wanted to try something new and so I researched for a good one and I stumbled upon this. I read that this toner is very good for sensitive skin because it cleanses and soothes. At first when I tried it, I noticed that it had a strong herbal smell. It’s not “bad” but it’s a bit strong, I’m guessing it’s because it contains a lot of Centella Asiatica which is actually VERY GOOD for healing fresh acne scars and calming down irritated skin. That’s actually one of the biggest reasons why I decided to buy it. I have some fresh scars and irritated skin and I’ve been looking for a toner that could calm it down – not just vitamin c since Vitamin c focuses more on lightening dark spots and not necessarily healing those irritated dry patches. Anyway, so far, this toner has been nothing less but amazing. My skin already feels super smooth. I’ve noticed that my fresh acne scars have calmed down and they’re no longer dry and irritated. I like this toner because I saw changes right away in how my skin felt and how less red it was (cause sometimes I get really red). If you’re looking for a toner for your sensitive skin, this could be it for you!
I bought this in Dara Beauty Market (@darabeautymarket) on Instagram! They sell a lot of Korean beauty products as well as other brands!

2. Heimish All Clean Balm

I know what you’re thinking… “I thought Clean it Zero was her holy grail balm cleanser!!?!” Well, I *think* I may have found something better. This is the Heimish All Clean Balm. This was actually recommended to me by my friend, Raya, who commented on my previous post about my skincare routine. This has been getting a bit of hype recently and so I had to try it because people were comparing it to Clean it Zero which is my absolute LOVE. I decided to… scout the competition… hehe. Plus look at the packaging!!!! It’s just so cute!!! So yeah. It’s around the same price as Banila Clean it Zero, if not a little cheaper. Compared to Clean it Zero, it is much more liquid. When I opened it, it looked like thick white goo. And it kinda gave me more of a herbal smell than a fruity smell like the one I get from Banila. But when I tried it. Omg, it was heaven. It just felt so good on my skin! And guess what?! It was able to take off my waterproof mascara way better than Clean it Zero ever could. And what I really like about it is that it’s much more foamy than oily. When I use Banila, right before I wash, my skin looks super oily cause of the cleanser but when I use this All Clean Balm, it looks more foamy and so I don’t get that icky oily feeling at all. So far, this cleanser has been doing wonders for me! I’m going to finish my Clean it Zero first though since I’m running out anyway and who knows, I might just get another tub of Heimish All Clean Balm!
I got this from The Skin Curator! She sells a lot of COSrx products also!

3. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream

I’ve been seeing a lot of good reviews about this little jar of cream moisturizer. One of the bloggers I follow (one of my favorites and the reason I bought this cream), Snow White & The Asian Pear actually wrote a blog post on this product and that pretty much convinced me that YES I AM GOING TO BUY THIS. At first I thought it was a bigger jar cause it looked big, but when I got it, it was pretty tiny hahaha for a price of P1000+ so yeah pretty pricey BUT definitely worth it. It contains beneficial ingredients such as Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Ceramides. And so it’s very good for whitening, elasticity, anti-aging, moisturizing and hydrating! Yep, that’s all in this little jar. So far, this is the only moisturizer I’ve been using morning and night and my skin loves it! After putting it on, my face feels so soft and plump! It hydrates my skin without making it too oily or shiny. My only comment though is that it isn’t moisturizing enough for my dry patches and so I still add a bit more of my COSRX Honey Ceramide moisturizer on those areas for an extra moisturizing kick. Can’t wait to see what more this cream will do for me! It looks very promising!
I also bought this from Dara Beauty Market!

4. Herbivore Blue Clay Detoxifying Treatment Clay Mask

Love. I bought this because I wanted a mask that could calm down my flare ups or troubled times. And this does exactly that. It’s a clay mask and so it’s a bit messy BUT trust me when I tell you that it’s not as messy as compared to the other clay masks. Plus, you don’t need that much powder to cover your whole face! At first I thought, “Wow, this jar is going to be gone by next month.” But NO. It will last way longer than that. Because it doesn’t need that much powder as it doesn’t have to be too thick. So yeah, keep that in mind! I like using this mask because it really calms down my skin. And it doesn’t sting unlike other masks. I have sensitive skin and so I was kind of worried it might get irritated BUT this worked for me. The only thing I may not like about this product though is that it can be a bit drying and so you really have to moisturize after using it. And don’t overuse it! Maybe twice a month would be enough, especially if you have sensitive skin. Remember, less is more!
I bought this from Makeup Depot! Check them out on Instagram!

5. Origins Masks (Drink-up Intensive Overnight Mask & Out of trouble 10-minute mask)

I bought these two in Guam. I’ve been meaning to try Origins masks but they’re a bit pricey in Manila and so I decided to buy them in Guam for $26 each. I’m glad I did because I have been really liking these two! I bought the Drink-up Intensive Overnight mask because I was having trouble with my dry patches and so I wanted to find a mask that would moisturize them and so far this has been doing wonders. It has a fruity smell and so it smells very yummy! It’s the kind of mask that doesn’t leave you feeling oily. Once it’s absorbed by the skin, it doesn’t leave any residue. My skin just feels smooth, soft and hydrated. As for the 10-minute out of trouble make, I bought it cause I wanted a mask I could use for urgent times when I’m starting a breakout and I don’t want it to continue. I had a bad breakout in Guam and so I tested this out and it worked! It contains salicylic acid and zinc oxide which really helps in calming down the skin and decreasing breakouts. I’m going to continue using this and hopefully, my breakouts become less instense!

6. Mario Badescu Haul (Buffering Lotion, Drying Cream, Drying Lotion, AHA Botanical Body Soap, Rose Water Facial spray – not in the picture)

So they started selling this brand in Rustans’ and I decided to try it out because I have heard so many bloggers rave about it – even celebrities. I’ve tried everything except the Soap and so far I’ve been loving them all. The two I really love though are the Drying Lotion and the Facial Spray. The drying lotion is one of my holy grail products! I usually put it on pimples that are exposed – not cysts because that’s not what it works on. It stings a bit when I apply it but I really feel it killing the bacteria and drying out the pimple! And tbh I love that feeling (is that weird) hahaha as for the facial spray, I use it everyday! I was actually considering buying the glossier facial spray instead of this one but the Mario Badescu one is much cheaper and I just think it’s much more practical. It hydrates my skin so well and leaves on a dewy look which I absolutely love!

7. Sulwhasoo Masks (Overnight Vitalizing Mask Ex, TruFresh Soothing Mask, Clarifying Mask Ex, Radiance Energy Mask)

This was a complete impulse buy. I know that Sulwhasoo is a very good brand and so I decided to buy all these “mini-masks” for P1000 which isn’t bad. I haven’t had a chance to use any of them yet though cause I’ve been really busy and I’ve been using the other products but so far I’ve been reading good reviews on these four masks. I honestly can’t wait to try them out! And for sure I’ll let you guys know how it goes!
I bought this again from Dara Beauty Market! They sell so many good brands for reasonable prices!

8. Simple Micellar Cleansing Water & Oil Balancing Cleansing wipes (not in the picture)

I heard Simple is a really good brand for sensitive skin! You can get it almost anywhere! It’s a British Brand that’s been gaining a lot of hype here in the Philippines! I bought the Micellar Water from Pcx and the wipes from Kmart in Guam. They’re really affordable and so I say, go get em! They’re also very gentle. I use them when I need extra cleansing or when I have a lot of heavy makeup on. I do a lot of cleansing when I wear heavy makeup because the last thing I want is my pores clogged up with makeup. So far, these products have been helping me out with my “triple cleanse process” which I really like! And so YAY.

9. Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash

This was another impulse buy from Dara Beauty Market! It’s really affordable and so I wanted to try it out. It’s a powder wash and so it starts out as powder but once you rub it onto your damp face, it’ll turn into a foamy cleanser. I only used it twice so far but during those two times, I really felt it exfoliating my skin. Since they’re pretty much like grains, they really go deep and cleanse and exfoliate your skin. It’s also really fun to use tbh cause it’s powder and so it’s a cool product to have. I need to use it a bit more to have a better idea of how it’s benefiting my skin, but I definitely look forward to it!

10. COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream

Snail products have always been good to my skin. I love how these products make my skin feel moisturized and plump. I love my COSRX snail essence and so I decided to try out this cream because I heard it’s been getting so many good reviews. So far it’s been really helping with my fine lines and healing some of my dry patches! It’s a thick white kind of transparent cream with no fragrance at all which I appreciate cause there are times when I get turned off by products with strong fragrances. I use this in conjunction with my Dynasty Cream. I switch between the two and so far they’ve been working great and complementing each other and so they both really help!

11. Pure Actives Emu Oil

I was researching for a good oil I could use with my everyday moisturizer and this is what I found. Emu Oil is said to be good for many things! This oil does everything. It heals, moisturizes, hydrates and even more! I usually mix this with my moisturizer. I put around 2-3 drops. It definitely makes my skin feel so much more supple – as well as “glowy”. I put the oil directly on my fresh acne scars and it healed them plus moisturized them and so later on, they were no longer itchy or irritated but instead soothed. Plus it’s very good for sensitive skin!
Buy it from beautyMNL and try it out now!

12. Mumuso Black Pearl Eye Masks

I love eye masks!!!! I guess it’s cause I have really dark circles under my eyes plus they tend to get dry and so these are a must for me. I used to use the snail kind but I decided to try something new and therefore I bought this one! I love how they’re black! Well duh cause black pearl. But I read that black pearl is a favorite in Korean skincare! And so I was very excited to try these out. I only got to use them once though cause I haven’t found the time BUT when I used the first pair, I definitely noticed a change – my under eyes were much more hydrated and plump. The darkness was still there (wasn’t really expecting it to go away anyway) But when I applied concealer it was much more moisturized and I didn’t have fine lines I usually do and so I’m really looking forward to using them again and seeing the difference! Plus Mumuso is such an affordable Korean brand and so what are you waiting for????

So that was my skincare haul so far! Hope you guys enjoyed it and got an idea of what you want in your shopping cart! 😉 let me know in the comments section if you have any concerns or questions AND if you have any recommendations, comment as well because I LOVE trying new products! Leadiiinglady’s Love List: Make-up 💄

I told you guys before that I would post my make-up love list for you guys and so here it is! In this post, I will be showing you the make-up products I have been loving! What’s great about these are that they are pretty much for everyday looks plus most of them are affordable. Will include where you can buy these products so you guys can check them out! 💕

BB Creams

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

What I love about the Korean BB Creams is that one, they’re very light – most of them have a natural looking finish. Two, they make your skin glow! Like seriously! They give me this kind of glow I never had before. Three, there are so many natural ingredients that help your skin in the process and so it’s like make-up + skincare! What could be better than that? I guess the only unfortunate thing I would say is that most of them only come in 2 shades and so it’s a bit harder for a lot of people to use.

1. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream (No. 21)

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This was my first Korean BB Cream! And I love it! When I put it on my skin, it feels so light and yes, there is a glow. This is the perfect everyday BB Cream because the coverage isn’t that great but it covers enough and so your skin can still breathe. I bought this because I wanted to use BB Creams instead of regular foundation because of the pros it has such as SPF, skin lightening and pore tightening. I wanted an everyday BB Cream that could also be a skincare product and this is what I found. I recommend this to those of you who want to sport that no make-up make-up look. Because really, the finish is so natural!

You can buy this on Beauty MNL!

2. The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Tbh, I bought this because I wanted more BB creams hahaha I liked the first one so much that I wanted to try out more. This is the one I’ve currently been using. It’s the best-selling BB cream of The Face Shop! And it’s wonderful. I wanted to see if I could find a BB cream with more coverage and I read some reviews saying this was really good and so I decided to try it out. It’s a bit pricey. I think it’s around P1199 in The Face Shop but it’s a huge bottle and I can tell you now it’s worth it!!! The finish is a bit thicker compared to that of Missha but it is still very light. What I love about this is that it stays on! I’ve been having dance rehearsals for the production I’m in and this is what I’ve been using and by the time I’m done with 5 hours of dancing, it’s still there! I would definitely recommend this to those of you who want to try a BB cream that has good coverage but is still lightweight!

You can buy this at any The Face Shop branch!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

These are my two trusty concealers! I know I’ve boasted about them before but here I am to boast about them again 😉 They’re both from the SAEM which is a Korean brand! Note these are VERY AFFORDABLE. Plus they both have SPF and so my love for these two obviously doubles!!! One is for under my eyes and the other one is for scars and blemishes! I usually use two different kinds because I need one to be more moisturizing while I need the other one to have more coverage. And these two work great together and so yay ❤

3. the SAEM Cover Perfection Liquid Concealer

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I use this concealer for under my eyes. I read in reviews that this concealer is very moisturizing and that’s what I need especially for me because my under eyes tend to get dry and I hate it when my fine lines begin to show like ugh so annoying hahaha and so I really researched for a good one and this is what I found. I am so glad I decided to try it out because it works so well for me!!! It is very moisturizing but it still manages to cover up my dark circles! And by the end of the day, my dark circles arent dry but plump and moisturized. Definitely a game changer.

4. the SAEM Cover Perfection Tip Concealer

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is the concealer I use for blemishes and scars! The coverage of this one is higher compared to that of the first. And it’s a bit less moisturizing which is why it’s perfect for my skin because I have oily skin! Also, what I love about this concealer is that it’s a perfect dupe for NARS concealer which’s price is like 4 times more??? It covers up my scars really well and it lasts pretty long. You’ll have to re-apply it after a few hours but I don’t mind because it’s also really small and so I can bring it around in my make-up case everywhere I go!

You can buy this on Althea Korea or in different instagram shops that sell Korean products!

Brows & Lashes

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I love my brows and lashes and so I want to give them the best look they can get! I got these two in The Face Shop. What I love about them is that they’re really good PLUS they’re super affordable. I got the mascara for P595 and the brow pencil for P285. How awesome is that???

5. The Face Shop Super Proof Mascara

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Before I bought this, I really wanted to find a mascara that could be many things – affordable, waterproof, smudgeproof and not “cumply”. It’s hard to find a mascara with all four properties BUT I have to say that I found all of them in this one! This is a very light mascara. The finish is pretty light which I really appreciate because I use this for my everyday make-up look. It is not cumply AT ALL. It’s very thin and it looks natural! Also, this mascara is smudgeproof and waterproof! I have a tendency of rubbing my eyes a lot especially when I have contacts on and I would hate it when the mascara would rub onto my under eyes because I have really dark circles to begin with and so when that happens, I look like a zombie ugh. And so I love how this doesn’t do that. Be sure to take it off with a make-up cleanser though or eye make-up remover cause it’s a bit hard to remove but I guess that is what comes with having super proof mascara hahaha

6. The Face Shop Style My Eyebrows Eyebrow Pencil

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

What I love about this eyebrow pencil is that you really see it. It’s not like one of those eyebrow pencils that are so light you can’t even tell the difference??? With this one, I can really shape my eyebrow and shade in all the necessary parts (like my scar). Also, this really stays! Like I said, I’ve been having dance rehearsals in a non-airconditioned place but even though I’ve been sweating for hours, I’d look in the mirror and my brows still exist. All thanks to this! And guess what’s the best part? It only costs P285! So go and buy yourself one now! 😉

You can buy both of these at any The Face Shop branch!

Eyeshadow Palettes

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

These are the two palettes I use all the time whether it be for everyday make-up or heavy make-up. They’re a bit pricey because they’re from high end make-up brands BUT their colors are beautiful. I’m sure you’ll use them more than once! I don’t usually use eyeshadow for my natural make-up look, but when I do, I just apply a bit of a light pinkish nude on my lids and sometimes shimmer to give me that “bright-eyed look”.

7. Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is my go-to palette for most of my eyeshadow base colors. It is a very neutral palette with browns, pinks, yellows, basically the neutral colors. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t use this palette because the colors are just very versatile, you can use these colors for the base or crease or whatever you want. They are also very pigmented and so you don’t have to apply too much to give your lids color. My favorite colors for my everyday look are super mom and natural beauty. Super mom is a very light shade of pink, very subtle and classy. Natural beauty is a beautiful pinkish nude that I like using all the time! If you guys need a palette with good neutral colors and one that you want to use all the time, I would recommend this one for you!

You can buy this in Sephora or online instagram beauty shops!

8. Juvia’s Nubian 2 Palette

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I admit that this is one of my “out there” palettes. When I first got this palette I was like, what am I going to do with these colors??? Eventually, I realized this palette really works well for my Disney Princess looks (which is pretty much my job) and there are some colors I could incorporate in my everyday look. My favorite colors from this palette would be Zuri, Morocco and Madagascar. Zuri is a light bronze color, very glittery and pigmented which I LOVE. I think you can tell that I use it a lot… hahaha just look at it. Morocco on the other hand is the perfect shade of orange. You know how orange is an “in color” right now? As in, having the perfect shade of orange is super important. This is my perfect shade of orange! Madagascar on the other hand is a really brown shade, I like using this for my crease or at the tips of my lids for a subtle smokey eye effect. Again, this eyeshadow palette is very pigmented and perfect for those who need some color in their lives!

You can buy this on many instagram beauty shops!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Aside from my trusty NYX Soft Matte lippies, these are the other lipsticks I’ve been loving! Happy Skin Disney and Kylie Lippie Mattes are my loves. These are all very pigmented lipsticks which I appreciate. I love lipsticks, it’s one of the make-up products I really spend on – thus my choice of favorite lipsticks. They’re a bit on the pricey side but I can tell you that they’re worth it!

9. Happy Skin x Disney Lipsticks

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

These are my loves!!! Note, I don’t only use these for work, I also use them for my everyday make-up look! I just love the colors. They are very pigmented, versatile and different! I could use the Aurora Lipstick for a day time hangout, I could use the Anna Lipstick for a date night and I could use Elsa Lipstick for a club party! What’s a big plus is that these lipsticks are SUPER MOISTURIZING! I get chapped lips real easily and so it helps that I have a lipstick + lip balm in one. That’s why I find these very handy and I always make sure I have one in my make-up bag!

You can buy these in Beauty Bar, Zalora or from the Happy Skin Website!

10. Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Mini Mattes

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This was the first Kylie Cosmetics product I ever purchased. I purchased the whole Holiday Mini Mattes Kit but I only really used these three colors and so far, they have been amazing! These are the shades Ginger, Love Bite and Moon. Ginger has a bit of a…. ginger shade hahahaha I actually wrote about it in one of my blog posts before! Check it out here! 🙂 Moon is a nudish brown, it looks a bit darker on me cause I’m light-skinned but I don’t mind cause I like the shade. Love Bite on the other hand is a dark purple shade, similar to the Elsa shade and so I also use this sometimes when I play Elsa. A note about these lippies though is that it’s VERY IMPORTANT to moisturize your lips! Put lip balm before putting these on so that your lips won’t be too dry since they’re matte!

You can buy this on the Kylie Cosmetics website or from Kylie Cosmetics MNL which is where I bought mine! It’s 100% safe and legit!

11. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Sensual

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is my go-to everyday blush! It supposed to stay for 12-hours and that’s what it does! I love the color sensual because it’s a peachy nude which looks good on my light skin. It’s very pigmented but is still very subtle and natural looking. These are one of those make-up products that I would buy again and again after I’ve run out. It’s a bit pricey but super worth it. I’ve been using this for 4 months straight and it’s as if I haven’t scratched the surface, there is still so much left and that makes me happy 🙂

Buy this now in Sephora or an online instagram beauty shop!

12. Anastasia Glow Kit in Sun-dipped

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is my favorite highlighter palette. Like ever. This is it!!!!! hahaha the colors are beautiful and they are super duper pigmented! If you wanna check out the glow it gives, check out my everyday make-up blog post here! The glow is beautiful and pigmented but still very subtle. My favorite shade would be Summer because it’s a color I can use everyday. It’s very light as compared to the others. I use Tourmaline or Moonstone when I’m doing my stage make-up while I use Bronzed for really dark make-up looks such as when I’m Princess Jasmine. This palette is a bit pricey. But there is so much product (this palette is HUGE) and four different colors PLUS they really deliver and so I’d like to think it’s worth the price!

You can buy this on any online instagram beauty shop!

Make-up Beauty Tools

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Make-up tools are as important as the make-up products themselves. Don’t forget though to clean these tools regularly because they are the ones that touch your face and you wouldn’t want dirty make-up tools to cause you to break out. Here are some of my favorite make-up tools!

13. Happy Skin Air Touch Sponge

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I got this because I really wanted to find a sponge that was soft and has good quality but still very affordable (I think Beauty Blenders are crazy over priced) and this is what I found. It’s still pretty pricey but at least it’s lower than P600. What I like about this sponge is that it’s pretty, it’s made so it can be used for many things (there are different parts of the sponge that are used for different parts of your face) and you caneither wet it for a softer application or keep it dry! I love the finished look it leaves on my face. It’s an airbrushed blended kind of look! And so if you guys need a sponge but do not want to spend so much for a beauty blender, this is for you!

You can buy this at the Beauty Bar or on the Happy Skin website!

14. Oval Paddle Brushes

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

These are the brushes I use all the time!!! But the one I use the most is the foundation brush. I just love the kind of finish it leaves on my skin. When it comes to using other brushes and sponges, there are times when the finish is too thick and so it doesn’t set right and ends up smudging everywhere. And the thing is I have oily skin and so if my make-up doesn’t set it becomes runny and gross. This brush helps spread the foundation out and blends it really well onto my skin. And so if you guys are looking for a foundation brush that doesn’t leave a too thick finish but still manages to give the right coverage, this is it!

You can buy this on online instagram beauty shops for very affordable prices!

15. Pure Brush Shampoo from Suesh

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Of course when you have make-up tools, you need to have soaps/shampoos to clean those tools especially your sponger and brushes. This is my go-to brush shampoo. This is only P100 pesos! It really takes off all the dirt and make-up off the make-up brushes. What I love about this is that it also works well with my make-up sponges as well. I can literally see the make-up come off the sponges, especially when I squeeze them. It’s crazy! hahaha just a note, make sure to clean your make-up tools regularly. I like to clean my brushes and sponges once a week because I really use them a lot plus I have sensitive skin and so this really prevents dirt from getting on my tools and causing my face to break out!

You can buy this in any Suesh branch!

Well, there you go! That was Leadiiinglady’s Love List for make-up! These are my current make-up loves! Of course, this isn’t the last Love List I’ll post, next month, I’ll come up with a new Love List for skincare and make-up so stay tuned for that!

Leadiiinglady’s Love List: Skincare 👌🏻

So many people have been asking me, what are your favorite skincare products? What would you recommend? Do you like this, do you like that?

To answer all of you, I decided to start this new part of my blog called: Leadiiinglady’s Love List 💘 (LLLL…..L2L2….. L4……) hahaha okay yeah Leadiiinglady’s Love List. This is where I will be writing about my loves or in other words, my faves.

This post in particular is about my personal skincare loves! So for all of you guys who have been asking me about my favorite skincare products, here they are all in one post!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset
12 of my favorite skincare products (as of now)

Let’s start with my favorite oil cleanser of all time…

1. Banila Co Clean it Zero

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is my favorite oil cleanser OF ALL TIME. I cannot stress how magical this beautiful tub is. I’ve been using it EVERY SINGLE DAY. This is already my fourth tub!!! If you guys are looking for a good oil cleanser that isn’t too oily but still manages to clean your face super well, this is the one for you! I prefer this over liquid oil cleansers because after using these kinds of cleansers, my face feels super oily and my skin is oily to begin with and so this doesn’t really help my cause hahaha.

To use this product, all you have to do is use the spatula (it comes with a spatula) and get a spoonful of balm and then spread it all over your face! Spread it very well! Massage your face (but gently!!!) and be sure to take your time taking off all your make-up and the dirt on your face! And then wash your face with warm water. Follow up with your regular cleanser and voila! Your face is clean!

You can buy this on Althea Korea, Zalora, BeautyMNL and a lot of instagram beauty shops!

2. Cure Natural Aqua Gel

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is my go-to exfoliator! I just got this recently but I’m already in love with it! I’ve been looking for a good exfoliator for months, I’ve tried so many but I couldn’t find the right one. When I got this, it was like love at first sight!!! It really takes out my dead skin like it says it’s supposed to do and afterwards, my skin feels so soft.

Exfoliating is super important! Especially for those of you who have acne scars/combination skin like me. Exfoliating helps take out your dead skin cells and allows your skin to renew. This helps with your post acne scars and it helps even it out! What I also love about this product is that it doesn’t make a mess! plus there’s a lock thingy so you can bring it with you on your travels and not have to worry about it spilling!

You can buy this in the Beauty Bar! It’s a bit pricey but it’s a big bottle and since you’re only supposed to exfoliate at least once or twice a week, this will last you a long time! Remember, a little goes a long way!

3. COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I love COSRX products. Hands down, one of the best skincare brands ever. The products are just so consistent, like I haven’t ran into any “bad” product. And so of course for this post, I’m bound to have a few COSRX products riiiight…. hahahaha.

This is my morning cleanser. It is wonderful. You know that feeling when you wake up with an oily face and all you wanna do is cleanse cleanse and cleanse to get rid of that oily feeling??? This is the best way! It takes off all the excess oil and dirt! But still leaves your face hydrated and soft! And guess what? It also takes off make-up REALLY WELL. I tried it once cause I was curious. And it really took everything off even without me rubbing it in that much!

Plus this cleanser brings your skin back to the normal pH level which helps your skin absorb the essences and serums you put after!

You can buy this on the skin curator, BeautyMNL and other online instagram shops!

4. LJH Tea Tree Essence

Tea Tree has always worked well with my skin. I guess it’s cause I’m acne prone and it helps get rid of the bacteria and helps soothe my skin when it’s inflamed or red!

I decided to try this essence out because I heard good reviews about it and I’m super glad I did! This really helps my skin! The tea tree in the formula helps prevent acne and heals it when I do have. I would recommend this to you guys who have combination/acne-prone skin! It is super gentle but super effective! Highly recommended! All you have to do is put three drops and pat it all over your face (after toner)!

You can buy this on a lot of online instagram beauty shops!

5. COSRX BHA Blackhead Powder Liquid

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is another one of my loves from COSRX! This is actually one of the first COSRX products I bought. I’ve always had a problem with acne cysts and I heard that this product helps prevent them and so I decided to try it out.

This is a chemical exfoliator that goes deep into the skin and works to clean the deepest parts to help prevent acne cysts from developing in the first place. I have to say that this super helped me! After I started using this for a while, I noticed that I started getting less pimples even during “my time of the month!”

I’ll soon have another blog post for just my AHA and BHA products to explain more about what they’re for and how you can use them so stay tuned for that! But if you’re using them already, don’t forget to put on SPF everyday because these are VERY STRONG chemical exfoliators and so your skin may a bit more sensitive to the sun!

You can buy this product on the, BeautyMNL or Althea and many more online instagram shops!

6. KIEHL’S Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

Kiehl’s may a bit pricey but a lot of their products are worth the $$$! And so, I decided to buy this tiny bottle because I’ve always had a problem with my post-acne marks and I’ve read a few reviews saying this product did a lot for their scars. Since I am getting less pimples now, my aim is to work on my acne marks.

To see if this product really worked, I took a picture of my scars before and after. Since I have been using this product, I noticed that my acne marks have been fading. They’re still there but I noticed that I have been using less concealer to cover them up and whenever I would look in the mirror, I would notice that they wouldn’t be as obvious and as red as they used to be and so I could safely say that this product is really working for me. I only use are 2 drops and so I know this bottle will last a long time and hopefully by the time I finish it, my acne scars would be completely gone.

I would recommend this to those of you who have acne-marks or scars or even sensitive skin because Kiehl’s uses a lot of natural products and so this would be perfect for you guys!

You can buy this at any Kiehl’s branch!

7. My Scheming Face Masks

These face masks are from Taiwan and they are super cute!!! I mean look at that packaging! I’ve always been a sucker for cute packaging + face masks. I have so many!!!! I abolutely love using them especially during nights when I get too lazy to do my whole skincare routine.

I love how these face masks are affordable and effective! They’re a bit cheaper than korean face masks and if you notice, they are a lot thinner thus it says “invisible mask”.

My favorite out of all the different kinds is the mask with lemon! It really brightens my skin! And helps minimize my pores! I recommend this for those of you who like trying out new face masks and those of you with sensitive skin because these masks are very gentle and easy on the skin.

You can buy this at PCX for only P65!

8. BeautyFix Peel-Off Mask

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I bought this recently because everyone said that this is way better than the normal nose strips. This is supposed to take off all the dirt and whiteheads and at the same time detoxify your skin.

I tried it out and wow I amazed with the results! On the container, it shows the mask all over the face but I decided to only put it on my t-zone. I left it on for about 20 minutes, afterwards, it was dry and ready to be peeled off. I have to admit that it HURT when I was taking it off. It hurt like crazy and so it took a while. But I know it was cause it was REALLY taking off all the dirt and whiteheads. When I looked at the mask, I saw so many and I was so amazed as to how much it took out.

Aside from that, my skin felt super soft!!! As if all the bumps disappeared. I recommend to use this every two weeks as to get rid of all the dirt and whiteheads deep within! This is way better than the regular nose strips you use! You’ll see a difference!

Get this at Watsons now!

9. PIOLANG 24K Gold Wrapping Mask

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

What I love most about this mask is that it’s gold. I mean, when I wear it I can’t help but feel like a “Golden Goddess” hahaha it’s really fun to wear! Plus it works 😉

This mask works to make your skin glow! And it really does! I like using this before I go out and start my day! I apply it with a spatula (I like using spatulas when I get products in tubs), I make it a bit thick and leave it on for thirty minutes and then I peel it off. Afterwards, my skin is glowing and I’m ready to take on the day 😉

You can buy this in Althea Korea!

10. SKINFOOD Salmon Brightening Eye Cream

This is my go-to eye cream! Eye cream is a must for me because I have dark dry under eyes and so I can’t live without my eye cream. It took me a while though to find the right one. I went through countless kinds before finding this one. But when I did, it was the perfect fit!

What I love about this eye cream is that it’s very affordable and very effective! And the brightness aspect happens right away. After putting it, I notice it brightens my under eye area and what’s a big plus for me is that it is VERY MOISTURIZING which is what I need. When I put concealer under my eye, it tends to become dry and I absolutely hate that and so I really needed something that can keep my skin moisturized all day and this is IT!

So if you guys have the same problem as me, go grab a small tub from Skinfood now! And guess what, it lasts a long time!!!

11. Apie’u Non Co Tea Tree Spot Patch

When it comes to acne cysts and pimples, this is the patch I use! Especially if they’re still starting out. These are medicated acne patches! I actually wrote a review on this and you can check it out here!

They contain Tea Tree and so again, this product is good for those of you who have combination or acne-prone skin! Whenever I feel a pimple starting to grow, I put this on at night and by the next morning, it’s almost completely gone! This is like my holy grail because one, it’s hassle free! You just put them on and boom, it’s gone! And two, it prevents me from touching them or making them worse. (Do not touch your pimples! The dirtiest body part are your fingers so please DONT)

You can buy this on! It is very affordable so go go go!

12. KIEHL’S Micro-Blur Skin Perfector

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Last but definitely not the least, another Kiehl’s skincare product! This is actually a sample size. What I like about this brand is that they have a lot of samples and so you can try out their products to make sure it works for you before spending all your money on a normal-sized product. I’ve been collecting samples of this one product in particular and I’ve been loving it so much that I think I’m ready to commit and buy the real thing.

This is a micr-blur skin perfector that works to minimize pores, smoothen the complexion of your skin and improve it in the process. To be honest, I’ve always been afraid of using these kinds of products because I felt that they would clog my pores and would cause more acne. BUT I talked to the doctor at Kiehl’s and she said that this product doesn’t do that and that’s why I decided to try it.

And it has done my skin WONDERS. Coming from an acne-prone girl, this is a big deal!!! hahaha the number one cause of acne is because the pores get clogged and dirt builds up inside it, causing—> pimples. But this product hasn’t given me any breakouts whatsoever!!! And I’ve been using it everyday! Isn’t that great??????? And so for you guys who have been looking for a product like this, go ahead and try this one out!

All you have to do is apply it after applying ALL your morning skincare products! It’s the last step before putting on your make-up! You can buy this at any Kiehl’s branch!

And so that was my love list for skincare products (as of now), I will be coming out with one again soon! Maybe next month… a whole new list and so stay tuned for that! 😉 Again, if you have any questions or concerns, be sure to comment! I will get back to you for sure! 🙂

Buuuut of course, aside from my skincare loves, I also have my make-up loves! And so be sure to check out my next post:

What’s inside my everyday make-up kit? 🌸

So right before rehearsals, I made sure to take time to write this blog post for you guys! ✨

For today’s post, I decided to do something a little fun! I’m going to be showing you guys what I keep inside my everyday make-up kit. I bring this kit with me EVERYWHERE I go, whether it’s on a roadtrip, to a party or even just a trip to the mall. I cannot live without this make-up bag because it has everything I need 🙂

If you’re wondering what YOU should have in your make-up kit, maybe this post will help you out! Cause tbh, you can never carry around too much make-up 😉

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

But before we get into what’s inside my make-up kit, here are some quick tips for you guys!

FIRST, make sure to clean your make-up bag regularly. You do not want to have a dirty make-up bag!!! If your make-up bag is the leather or plastic type, be sure to wipe the inside at least every week. You can even use the same soap you use to clean your make-up brushes! Just put a little bit of brush soap on a piece of cloth and use it to clean the inside. On the other hand, if you have a make-up bag made out of cloth, make sure to hand wash it regularly. If later on you realize, the dirt and make-up stains aren’t coming off anymore, it’s best to let go of that make-up bag because it’s time to get a new one!

SECOND, keep your brushes and sponges in a separate bag inside your make-up bag. I personally like putting my brushes and sponges in a separate bag because I feel that this prevents them from becoming dirty. The inside of make-up bags can become pretty dirty because of the foundation marks, excess powder or lipstick stains and so I want to protect my brushes and sponges as much as possible since these are the tools that directly touch my face.

THIRD, try your best to prioritize what to keep in your make-up kit. You wouldn’t want it to be super filled up. It might break or worse, it might damage the products inside the kit. As I said a while ago, yes, you can never carry around too much make-up BUT make sure at least that these are products you need on a daily basis or if ever products you think you’ll need to use later on during the day.

Okay, time to check out what’s inside my make-up kit! 🙂

1. Make-up bag with lots of personality!!!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I personally love it when my make-up bag has a lot of personality. I either choose a bag with a crazy colorful pattern or a bag that has a quote written on it which I can relate to. In this case, it’s the latter. “TOUCH MY TOOLS AND DIE.” What could be better than that??? I just relate to this so much because I am so protective of my make-up. Like, if you touch my make-up without asking, I could literally kill you (half joke) And so for those of you who feel the same way, I suggest you get a make-up bag like this one! Also, if for some reason you lose your make-up bag *knocks on wood*, you’ll have an easier time finding it because of it’s distinct look.

I got this from beabi!!! I love this store!!! They have great organizers for literally EVERYTHING. I love organizing my stuff and so this is one of my favorite stores ❤

2. Blush Brush & Powder Brush Duo

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

These are the only two brushes I keep in my make-up kit because these are the only two I need for my everyday make-up look: a blush brush & a powder brush. Whenever I feel a bit oily, I reapply some powder on my face. Also, I tend to get a bit pale towards the end of the day and so I got my blush brush so I can apply blush to keep me pink! Again, my everyday make-up look is simple and so these are the two trusty brushes I choose to keep with me in my make-up kit. Note: If you want to make sure they stay clean, be sure to put them in a separate kit inside your make-up bag (preferably a plastic kit so it’s easy to clean)

3. Beautyblender

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I’m not really a fan of the color pink (except for nude pink) but then I realized I needed some color in my life and so I decided to buy this hot pink beautyblender and voilà, color!!! Hahaha. I bring a beauty blender with me EVERYWHERE. This is just in case of emergency situations like, my make-up starts to become patchy or I didn’t blend it right or last minute, I need to reapply my concealer. This is one of those “just in case” make-up products but trust me, you will never regret bringing it with you cause one day, it could save you! Be sure to keep it clean though and so put it in the separate kit with your brushes! Best to protect all the tools that directly touch your face!

I got this from beautyMNL!

4. Concealers, concealers!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

During my everyday make-up routine, I apply concealer BUT SOMETIMES, the concealer either fades or becomes patchy and so it’s always best to bring your concealer around with you (especially if you have oily skin). I like to carry both concealers with me, the lighter shade (for under my eyes) and the other one for my blemishes.

So far, I’ve been loving these two concealers from the SAEM. The Cover Perfection Liquid Concealer is perfect for under my eyes because it is super moisturizing! My dark circles tend to be really dark cause I’m naturally pale and also my skin there gets dry and so I needed a concealer that would moisturize and cover my dark circles at the same time and so far this has been perfect! The other one has great coverage and so I use it for my blemishes and scars! It’s kind of similar to the NARS concealer and so if you wanna buy the NARS concealer but you’re on a tight budget, this would be the perfect substitute! For more info about these products, I will posting another review soon so stay tuned for that! 😉

You can buy these on Althea Korea!

5. Face Powder, a must!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Face powder is a big must for me! Especially if you have oily skin, like me. This allows your face to stay fresh and matte throughout the day! If your skin doesn’t work well with loose powder, you could always use pressed powder! Also, a lot of loose powder products come in big containers and so it’s kind of hassle to bring them around everywhere and so I bought this small powder container from beabi (again cause like I said, they have EVERYTHING) and refill it regularly so that I don’t have to bring the big powder container around. This makes it very convenient!

6. Blush!!!!!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I bring my blush with me everywhere I go. It’s a must. Like a MUST. Because one, I have oily skin and two, I’m very pale (naturally) and so if you put those together, basically the color on my face fades easily. And so I have to constantly reapply my blush. With this particular blush though, I have been reapplying it less because it actually stays longer on my face as compared to my other blush products. This is the Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush by the way in sensual.

Even though I don’t have to reapply this as often as before, I still bring it everywhere with me “just in case”.

7. Nudes & Color

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

One nude lipstick, one colored lipstick, that’s how I roll. I’m a very indecisive girl and so sometimes when I’m in a rush, I just grab my nude lipstick and head out the door. It’s my go-to shade because it’s simple and classy and so I ALWAYS make sure I have it with me. But then again, it’s great to have some color on and so along with my nude lisptick, I always make sure to have a different shade with me just to spice things up a bit. And for emergency purposes! Let’s say last minute I decide to go to a party or I have a last minute photoshoot and nude just won’t cut it, then I won’t have to worry because I got some color ready in my make-up kit! So that’s a tip for all of you out there! 😉

8. All for the Eyes: Mascara & Eyeliner

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Just a note! I don’t put mascara and eyeliner on everyday, just sometimes, but I keep these two in my make-up kit because you never know when you’ll need them! Sometimes in the middle of the day (while I’m out) I just decide, hey, I want to put on some mascara and so I go to the bathroom, bring out my trusty mascara (Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes) and apply! There is nothing wrong with adding a few extra make-up products into your make-up bag thinking you’ll need them later on! And so go ahead and toss that eyeliner and mascara in, you might just thank yourself later!

9. Eyebrow pencil/brush!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I have to admit that eyebrow make-up is a must for me. As you can see it looks very used… that’s because I use this every single day. And I always like to keep it inside my make-up kit, just in case! This is the K-Palette long lasting eyebrow powder. This is my ultimate fave because it pretty much lasts the whole day. I just like bringing it around with me because it makes me feel secure hahaha as I’ve said before, eyebrow make-up is a big thing for me and so I gotta have this in my make-up bag!

You can get this in the Beauty Bar!!!

10. YES LIP BALM!!!!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Okay. I cannot stress how much this has changed my life. I cannot go ANYWHERE without lip balm. Before I leave the house, I always make sure I have this because UGH I can’t live without it. Sadly, my lips get chapped super easily, I guess it’s cause I’m dehydrated all the time (and so drink water guys!!!) and so lip balm is an absolute must.

This is actually my favorite one right now. It’s not even just lip balm. You can use it for burns, insect bites, wounds. It’s AMAZING. It’s made from Papaya!!!! And so it super moisturizes my lips. The thing is, it’s only available in Australia and so if you have friends or family members who are going there soon, be sure to tell them to get this for you! It’s SUPER affordable 😉

11. Oil Blotting Paper

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Shoutout to all of you guys who have oily skin! This is a must for all of us. I do not know how I could last one day without this. Cause normal tissue just won’t cut it hahaha I tend to get oily after a few hours and so I need to use these daily! I use around 2 sheets a day or more especially if it’s really hot (and we’re in the Philippines and that’s pretty often). The good thing is that there are so many different kinds for different skin types and they are pretty much affordable everywhere.

I got this one at Watsons! It’s available in every branch and so no worries! I suggest that this be an important product inside your make-up bag because you wouldn’t want to spend the whole day with a shiny face plus it can also go into your pores and give you pimples!!!

12. Cleansing Wipes!!!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

These cleansing wipes are good for a lot of things! They can be used to wipe make-up off your face or clean your hands or for sanitary purposes and so it’s always great to have these inside your bag! It’s important to keep your face and hands as clean as possible and this helps with that. Also, there are many different kinds such as moisturizing wipes, cleansing wipes, baby wipes, etc! And so get the kind that you think you’ll need the most!

Always remember to stay clean that way your skin stays healthy and glowing! I bought these wipes from Miniso (which is like a Daiso-but a bit better hahaha) They sell many things from power banks to face masks! And their products are all affordable and so check them out!

TADAAAAAAA! That’s what’s inside leadiiinglady’s everyday make-up kit!!! Also, I added the links where you can buy some of these products so be sure to check them out! Hope this helped you guys in putting together your make-up kit! 🙂 Super enjoyed writing this post for you guys! ✨

But I really wanna know, what do YOU have in YOUR everyday make-up kit? Comment and let me know!!! 💖

Battle of the Acne Patches

Another Battle of the ____ post! This is the Battle of the Acne Patches!

This (acne) has been a problem for me my entire life. I cannot stress how much this has affected me while growing up. It affected my confidence and the way I viewed myself. There were times when I tried to cover them with make-up or refused to leave the house. It was crazy. Over the years though, I have learned to deal with it and accept it. I feel better now and my skin has got better but I still get these problems every now and then which is completely normal. But I know now how to take care of it and myself. One of the ways I learned how was through ACNE PATCHES.

I only recently discovered this last year while I was researching on ways to cure acne. The first acne patch I actually discovered was COSRX (since it was a best seller). I loved it! Since then I have been trying out different acne patches to see how each one works.

For this post, I will be showing you 4 different brands of acne patches: 2 non-medicated & 2 medicated! I will also be using my regular criteria and so that’s PRICE, PACKAGING & EFFECT. Hopefully through this review, you find the right acne patch for you!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I read that these were one of the first acne patches ever. These are water-based, stick-on hydrocolloid dressing tapes that work to take out all the bacteria out of the pimple. This leaves it flat and less red. As you can see in the picture below, these acne patches are a bit thick and yellow (as compared to cosrx you’ll see later). This made it harder for them to stay on. In the morning, I would notice that they would already be coming off. So I would say that the stickiness isn’t that great when it comes to Nexcare Acne Patches.

When it comes to what it’s supposed to do, it does its job. But it takes 2-3 days to completely get rid of the pimple (for normal-sized ones). Again, hydrocolloid acne patches work to “suck out all the gunk and bacteria” from the pimple allowing it to heal faster. That being said, these kind of patches don’t work on cysts. They only work on pimples that have come to head. And so just a note: don’t waste these patches on cysts or else you’ll be running out of these very quickly! This comes in two different sizes!

Price: 6/10 (300+ pesos for 18 pieces???)

Packaging: 9/10 (easy to take of the plastic)

Effect: 7/10 (could be better)

I bought this on for P339! But you can buy this at drugstores as well!

2. COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is another brand of non-medicated acne patches. This was and is still a bestseller in many online beauty shops so listen up people cause this thing works magic.

This is the first ever acne patch I got! When I first tried it, I was disappointed because it wasn’t working… later on I found out it wasn’t because of the product, it was because of me. I was doing it wrong!!!! When it comes to acne patches, you should put them on right away after cleansing your face! Yup, that’s right. Your face should be BARE! No essences, moisturizers or anything. This is because the acne patch works to absorb the bacteria and so when you put all these things, it’ll end up absorbing the other products, thus, it won’t make your acne better. After I realized I was doing it wrong, I decided to try again and this time IT WORKED!

Compared to Nexcare, you’ll see that the COSRX acne patches are thinner and “whiter”. This is my faveeee because it really does it’s job! I put one on at night and when I wake up, I notice that the middle part is all white (this is all the bacteria and gunk). I take it off and the pimple is flat and less red! Also what I love about this is that it really stays still! I don’t have to worry about it coming off during the night! Also, they come in 3 different sizes which makes it really convenient!

Price: 10/10 (P180 for 1 pack – 24 pieces)

Packaging: 10/10

Effect: 9/10 (doesn’t work on cysts)

I bought this on for P180! You can buy this in almost any online korean instagram shop! 🙂

3. Mentholatum Acnes Acne Patch

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is a medicated acne patch! Meaning, this inhibits the growth of bacteria and works to heal the pimple. These patches are a little bit thicker. I’m not sure if it’s because they put something inside the patches but yeah, they’re a bit thicker. These are the kind of acne patches you can put on cysts because they work to stop bacteria growth. When I put this on cysts, they grow smaller! What’s also a plus is that it prevents them from getting infected or being touched (cause you shouldn’t touch your pimples!!!).

As you can see, these patches are a bit more “opaque”. They do their job but what I don’t like about these patches are that if you’re the oily skin type, they tend to move around after you’ve worn them for a while or they start to peel off and so it becomes a hassle. Also, this prevents it from working properly. Just a note: don’t expect your cysts to flatten out right away, it takes time! It comes in two different sizes!

Price: 8/10 (P410 for 36 pieces)

Packaging: 10/10 (well protected and easy to come off plastic)

Effect: 8/10 (not the best medicated patch)

I bought this on for P410 (36 pieces)!

4. A’PIEU NonCo Tea Tree Spot Patch

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is actually the thinnest patch of them all which is pretty surprising cause this is a medicated acne patch! What I love about it being thin though is that it looks almost invisible. Like one time I went out and I didn’t notice I still had one on because I couldn’t see it!!!! And so yeah, that’s a huge plus for those of you who want to work on the pimple but need to go out (in public hahaha)

This is my go-to medicated acne patch because it works well with my skin! It sticks so well!!!! Like I even have a hard time taking it off sometimes (but don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt your skin). Also, it works!!! I guess it’s cause there’s a hint of tea tree in these patches to help with inflammation and bacteria. But tea tree may not work for everyone so try it out first! Also, it takes time to heal pimples esp cysts! But it works!

This acne patch comes in two sizes! And I got 10 packs (10 pieces each) for P455! That’s 100 pieces for that price and so what a steal!!!

Price: 10/10

Packaging: 10/10 (it’s easy to come off the plastic and it’s well protected)

Effect: 9/10 (it doesn’t get rid of the pimple overnight but it helps make it better – it just takes time)

I bought this for P455 on! Get it now cause it’s a steal!!!! 🙂

So that’s all for my acne patch review!!!!!!! Hope this helped you guys out! 🙂 Just comment if you guys have any concerns or questions! 🙂

Battle of the Moisturizers: Part I

Here I have another skincare post for you guys! 🙂 I will be talking about 4 different moisturizers: 2 oil-free moisturizers & 2 cream moisturizers. I titled this post “Part I” because I will be reviewing many more different kinds/types/brands in the future!

The 4 moisturizers I chose for this post are as follows: Céleteque Facial Moisturizer (with Triple Moisturizing System), COSRX Aloe Vera Oil-Free Moisture Cream, Etude House True Relief Moist Cream & COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream.

I chose these four moisturizers because I feel that I have been using them long enough to be able to review them. You might be wondering though… “Why does she have so amny moisturizers???” Well, it’s cause it took me a long while to find the right one. My skin is the combination type and so some areas are dry and some are oily. This really frustrates me because it’s like??? What am I supposed to use then??? I’ll put one kind on my t-zone and another kind on the rest of my face??? Isn’t that a hassle? Yeah, it is when you think about it. Buuuuut I’m really happy because I found the right one for me! And therefore, I don’t need to go through that hassle. (I’ll tell you later which one it or better yet, “they” are 😉

Anyway, first, let’s talk about the importance of moisturizers. I’m sure you’ve heard that when it comes to putting together a simple skincare routine, only 3 steps are really necessary: Cleanse, Tone & Moisturize. Those are the three basic steps in any skincare routine. And so is moisturizing your skin really important? The answer is YES. Not only does a moisturizer moisturize or hydrate your skin, it also somehow acts as a protective barrier for your skin as it holds water. Moisturizers are also very very important to those who have dry or sensitive skin- it soothes & improves your complexion. It gives your skin the glow it deserves. I mean, who wouldn’t want glowy beautiful skin? And so next time you think about skipping the moisturizer step in your daily skincare routine cause you’re lazy or in a rush, don’t. Or you’ll regret it later. For sure. Also, I’d like to add a short note on being sanitary when it comes to moisturizers especially moisturizers that come in a tub. Many moisturizers like that nowadays come with a spatula. USE THE SPATULA. That way it won’t get contaminated. Don’t forget that the dirtiest part of your body are your fingers. Once dirt/bacteria gets into that tub, it’ll be hard getting it out.

Mmmm but hey, are you having a hard time picking the right moisturizer for you? Maybe this post will help! These 4 moisturizers are very accessible and affordable so no need to worry!

By the way, I’m using the same criteria I used for the oil/water cleansers post! Packaging,, Effectiveness (if it really does what it says it does), Moisturizing skills and Price.

Let’s get to the review! I’ll start off with the Oil-free gel like moisturizers!

***Recommended for Oily skin/Sensitive skin types***

1. Céleteque Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is a water-based oil-free moisturizer! This is a very gentle brand and so it’s good for all of you who have sensitive skin. Since this is an oil-free and water-based moisturizer, it’s best for oily type skin because it’s not cream-based and so it moisturizes your skin but doesn’t “over moisturize” it.

This moisturizer in particular is very “wet” when you squeeze it out of the bottle, meaning it’s very watery and slippery (as you can see in the photo below)

When I took this picture, it was actually dripping down my hand. When spread, it takes a while to be absorbed. My skin felt very wet and slippery until it was fully absorbed which took a pretty long time. Just a note: If you were to use this moisturizer before putting on make-up, you should wait a few minutes or else, your foundation would slip and slide hahaha

This is what it looked like after I spread the product all over my hand. As you can see, it’s very wet and shiny and so like I said, give it time to be absorbed. I would recommend this moisturizer to those with oily/sensitive skin. It may look a bit wet but once it’s absorbed, it really does moisturize the skin. For me, I personally just don’t like how wet it feels on my skin and so this isn’t my go-to moisturizer but hey, if it works for you, it works for you!

Packaging: 8/10

Effectiveness: 7/10

Moisturizing skills: 8/10

Price: 10/10

You can get this in PCX for P231!

2. COSRX Aloe Vera Oil-free Moisture Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is another Oil-free moisture cream that I really like. This is my go-to oil-free moisture cream because it isn’t too watery but isn’t “over-moisturizing” either. Plus the Aloe Vera in this product works to soothe the skin especially if it’s irritated or red. And I can tell you it does just that!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

As you can see, this moisturizer isn’t as watery as the first. When I put it on my hand, it wasn’t dripping, it stayed put. And so I’d describe this as more of a gel-type moisturizer.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Compared to the first moisturizer I tested, this was absorbed much faster thus it isn’t as shiny as you can see in the photo above. I recommend this moisturizer to those of you who have oily/sensitive skin. This product really soothes irritated skin and so when I’m having bad breakouts, this is my go-to moisturizer. I also use this as my regular morning moisturizer because it’s easily absorbed and therfore I don’t have to wait long until I can apply my make-up.

Packaging: 7/10 (tubs are hard to keep sanitary)

Effectiveness: 9/10

Moisturizing skills: 8.5/10

Price: 8/10 (it’s a bit pricey but I think it’s worth it)

You can buy this on the COSRX website, or from other instagram stores for varied prices that sell kbeauty products!

Let’s move on to the cream based moisturizers!

*** Recommended for those with dry/sensitive/combination skin types***

3. Etude House True Relief Moist Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is a cream-based moisturizing cream. I bought this last year because my skin was getting really dry for some strange reason and it got to the point when I just wanted to peel everything off and so I rushed to look for most moisturizing cream I could find and this was the one I ended up buying. Note: these kinds of moisturizers are very good for people with dry skin because it gives enough moisture to get rid of the dry patches/ares on your face.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

As you can see from the photo above, it is very thick, almost like a paste. I was kind of hesitant to put this on my whole face especially my t-zone because of the thickness. I was afraid it would clog my pores and so I decided to only put it on my dry patches.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

It worked to hydrate those dry patches but I wouldn’t say this is a miracle moisturizer- meaning, it’s a moisturizer I wouldn’t mind replacing (which I did). I just felt that it was too heavy on my skin and not the good kind of heavy. Yeah, it moisturized my dry patches but if there were a better option (which I know there is), I would let go of this one for sure.

Packaging: 7/10 (tubs are hard to keep sanitary)

Effectiveness: 7/10 (it moisturizes but clogs pores)

Moisturizing skills: 8.5/10

Price: 6/10 (super expensive and not super worth it if you ask me)

You can buy this at Etude House for P1,348!

4. COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is actually what I replaced True Relief with. I wasn’t satisfied with it (True Relief) and I knew there was something better and so I did some research and I found this. And to be honest, I am sooo happy I did! Like the previous moisturzer, this is a cream-based one. But the consistency is different compared to True Relief.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

It’s kind of hard to explain the consistency of this product. It’s much stickier compared to the other one but less thick. When I apply it on my face, it feels a bit weird at first because of the stickiness but after a while, the feeling goes away. That’s what I like about this moisturizer. It seems thick and really moisturizes your skin but it’s very lightweight.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is the kind of thick moisturizer that I am not afraid to use all over my face. I actually use this every night (It’s a bit to heavy to use during the day). When I wake up, my skin feels very hydrated and moisturized (after applying this, I always put on my sleeping pack).

The two main ingredients in this product that I really think are stellar are honey and ceramide. Honey really works to moisturize and soothe my skin while ceramide works to keep the moisture locked in as well as the skin firm and healthy. I would recommend this moisturizer for those with dry/combination/sensitive skin. This has caused me no breakouts whatsoever. It’s very gentle and it really does its job!

Packaging: 7/10 (tubs are hard to keep sanitary)

Effectiveness: 10/10 (YAS)

Moisturizing skills: 10/10

Price: 8/10 (not the best price but 100% worth it)

You can buy this on the COSRX website, or from other instagram stores for varied prices that sell kbeauty products!

Well there you have it! 4 different moisturizers that could work for you and your skin type! Don’t forget to moisturize every morning and night guys! Your skin will thank you later 😉

My Korean Skincare Routine (Morning & Evening) 🌞🌛

This /long/ post is for those who requested/might be interested/getting into this Korean skincare thing! helloooo, I tagged some of you! 🙂 hahaha I’m writing this here cause apparently there’s a character limit on instagram which I wasn’t aware of…. ANYWAY

So this is my Korean skincare routine. These are the products I use. (Yup, all of that!) But it varies morning & evening! In this post, I included the products I use, some tips & tricks and a short opinion of each one! 🙂 hope this helps you guys!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset
My morning skincare routine is pretty simple.

1. CLEANSE: COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser (it makes your skin feel squeaky clean! Very good for you guys with oily skin!)
2. TONE: COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner (it brings your skin’s pH to the normal level which is about 5.5! It’s def not too harsh for your skin & helps your skin absorb the other products better)
3. ESSENCE: COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (one of my favorites! It really moisturizers my skin and helps lighten my dark spots! And it’s not heavy at all!)
4. EMULSION: COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion (it moisturizes my skin without making it look too oily! In fact, after I put it on, my face looks matte)
5. MOISTURIZE: COSRX Aloe Vera Oil-free Moisture Cream (I have oily skin and so an oil free moisturizer is better for me! Esp during the day! Plus, aloe is good for sensitive skin cause it soothes it when it’s irritated or red)
6. EYE CREAM: Skin Food Salmon Brightening Eye Cream (I just got this but it works wonders! I went through several eye creams before but they never seemed to work for me! I have dark dry under eyes and so I needed something that would really moisturize and brighten that area and so far, this has been nothing but amazing!)
7. SPF: COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream (tbh I never really liked SPF cause I didn’t like the idea of putting sunblock on my face considering that I have sensitive/acne prone skin BUT I decided to try this product anyway because wearing SPF everyday is an absolute MUST for healthy skin!! And so far, I’ve been loving this!!!! It’s not heavy at all and it doesn’t have that strong sunblock smell! I think this is the only SPF that I would ever put on my face hahaha)
8. MAKE-UP CREAM: SON&PARK Beauty Cream (not in the picture – I use this all the time before I put makeup. It pretty much preps my skin and gives me that glowy look that I really like! And it’s not heavy nor does it block my pores! So YAY)

So that’s my morning skincare routine! My nighttime skincare routine on the other hand is a bit… more complicated hahaha and so I’ll write it in parts!

1. OIL CLEANSER: Banila Co. Clean It Zero (I am on my 3rd tub cause this stuff is absolutely amazing! I put on heavy makeup a lot because of all my performances and gigs and so I really need an oil cleanser that takes off EVERYTHING and so far this has been it!!!! Buy it guys! You won’t regret it!!!!)
2. FOAM CLEANSER: COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser (I have acne prone skin and so I make it a point to use a cleanser with acne fighting ingredients at night! I only use this at night because I feel that if I use it twice a day, it’ll be too strong for my skin and it might just end up irritating it)
3. ***WATER CLEANSER: SON&PARK Beauty Water (this is optional for me! If I’m washing off super heavy makeup, I use this just to make sure I got everything off my face. If I’m washing off everyday makeup then I usually skip this step)

4. TONE: COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
5. VITAMIN C: Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop (I just started using this and so far it’s been very good to my skin. I used to use c21 but it was too strong for me. Instead of helping my skin, it irritated it and so I researched cause I wanted to find something more gentle and I saw this! So if ever you want a Vitamin c serum that’s gentle on your sensitive skin, klairs is the one for you!)
****wait 10 minutes**** (you wait so that your skin will absorb the vitamin c before you put anything else! That way it’ll work better! Also, Vitamin c/BHA/AHA treatments work best on skin with a natural pH which is why before I put these on, I use the toner up there ^ which brings my skin to the normal pH level! If you use another toner that’s more acidic, the treatments may not work unless you wait 30 minutes or so after applying the toner before you put them on)
6. BHA Treatment: BHA blackhead power liquid (I only use BHA because I feel like it helps my skin better. It digs deeper into your skin compared to AHA. AHA is merely just for the surface. But my problem lies within (wow deep hahaha) I used to get a lot of big pimples but when I started using this, they were reduced because this treatment works to prevent them from ever forming! It’s your choice if you want to use both but if you only need one then just use one! It’s always important to only use what you need and not overdo it) ****wait 10 minutes AGAIN**** so that the treatment is fully absorbed by your skin

ESSENCES/AMPULES/ MOISTURIZERS/EYE CREAM (thinnest/most watery—>thickest)
7. ESSENCE: COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
8. AMPULE: COSRX Propolis Light Ampule (super gentle on my skin! I love honey/propolis and my skin loves it too so this works for me! It helps plump up my skin and gives me a really nice glow)
9. EMULSION: COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion
10. CREAM MOISTURIZER: COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream (just started using this and it’s really good! It makes my skin so supple and soft! I use this only at night though because it’s thick and sticky and so it might make me too oily during the day considering my skin gets oily! But at night, it’s perfect cause you wake up with moisturized supple skin! and no, it doesn’t clog your pores!!)
11. EYE CREAM: Skin Food Salmon Brightening Eye Cream
12. SLEEPING PACK: Etude House Moist Up Sleeping Pack (I’ve been using this for around 7 months now every single night! It never broke me out and that is a plus considering I have acne prone skin and also since then, I have noticed that I have been waking up to fully hydrated skin! I recommend this sleeping pack for those who are just starting out! It’s really good!)

13. SPOT TREATMENT: Benzac AC (if I see pimples starting out, I usually put this on and it helps get rid of them! This was recommended by my derma before)
14. PIMPLE PATCH: COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch (when I see those big pimples, I put one on right away and by the next morning they’re flat!!! Like what???? Hahahaha but make sure when you put it on, the area is freshly cleansed and there is NOTHING on it! Cause the patch absorbs the bad stuff and so putting toner/essence on the pimples would prevent the bad stuff from being completely absorbed)
15. LIP SLEEPING PACK: LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Pack (I have chapped lips. Since forever. And so I decided to get something to treat it! I put this on every night and I wake up with smooth and hydrated lips! Which makes me really happy!!!!! It’s kinda pricey but I’ve had this for a few months and it’s not even halfway done so I’d like to think it’s worth it!)

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

  1. Skin Food Rice Wash-Off Mask (It brightens up my skin like BAM! hahaha I really love it’s so gentle and it makes my skin feel so soft)
  2. Skin Food Black Sugar Honey Wash-Off Mask (not in the picture – this super moisturises and exfoliates my skin! After washing it off, my face feels so smooth and supple plus it smells wonderful!)
  3. Piolang 24K Gold Wrapping Mask (I personally love this cause its gold hahahaha but aside from that, it really gives me a nice glow! My skin feels so clean and bright after using this peel off mask!)
  4. Mumuso mask sheets (I use different kinds but I love them all! I use some that are for oily skin and the others have snail mucus! These are all ver affordable! You can buy them in up town hehe)
  5. Etude House mask sheets (not in the picture – I started out with these mask sheets! I love how there are different kinds and that they cater to different needs!)
  6. Tony Moly Egg cooling pack (this mask has a cooling effect which tightens your pores and so if you have enlarged pores, this mask is for you!)
  7. Indian Clay Mask (you can buy this in healthy options! This mask super cleans your skin!!!!! the description says that this mask basically gives you a facial! It’s a bit strong and so I suggest that you leave it on for only 10 minutes or so and use it once a week max!)
  8. Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask (this mask moisturises your skin and leaves it feeling full and hydrated)

Some tips and tricks to remember!

  • Before using a mask sheet, put on your toner! This helps your skin absorb everything better!
  • Use a mask sheet at least twice a week!
  • Exfoliate with a scrub/face brush at least twice a week to get rid of your dead skin cells!
  • Don’t leave masks on past 30 minutes because they could end up irritating your skin instead of helping it!
  • Patch test strong products first before putting them all over your face!
  • When incorporating new products to your skincare routine, do them slowly! Do not just start putting them on morning and evening everyday because they may not be right for your skin!
  • If it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work for you. Don’t force it or else you might hurt yourself! Look for a different product. There’s something out there for you!
  • Skincare before make-up! I, for one, love makeup but i learned (the hard way lol) that skincare should always come first! Trust me, it feels so much more amazing to put makeup on HEALTHY GLOWING SKIN! ❤

WHEW. THAT WAS LONG. So that’s my morning & night korean skincare routine! I’ve been on this routine for a few months now and I have been LOVING IT so far!!! It’s important to me to have healthy skin considering that my job requires me to put on makeup a lot and so switching to this routine has done wonders for me! Because skincare before makeup, always. So go go go!!!!
