My Everyday Skincare Routine (Updated) 💆🏻

Hellooooooo! I am back with another post!!! I was actually supposed to post this yesterday but my schedule has been crazy with rehearsals, gigs & all so I only got to post it now 😅

ANYWAY, so many people have been asking me about my current skincare routine and it’s funny cause that was one of the reasons why I started this blog in the first place. Apparently Instagram has a character count??? And sooo, I couldn’t share my skincare routine on Instagram (cause it’s too damn long hahaha) I had to find another way. And I ended up making a full blown blog because of it.

My skincare routine blog post has been receiving a lot of views and comments and so I wanted to post another one which is the updated version because I made a few changes and added/replaced/took out some. And so here it is! Again if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave a comment! I will get back to you as soon as I can! 🙂

For this post I used the emojis, 🌞 &🌛! The sun means I use it in the morning, the moon means I use it in the evening and if both are present, that means I use them both morning and evening!

 1. CLEANSING BALM (Banila Co.) 🌛

FAVE BALM FOREVER. Like I super love this!!! This is already my fourth tub! So as you can see I love it so much ❤️ I use this every night even when I don’t wear that much makeup because it helps get rid of the impurities and dirt on my skin so that my pores do not get clogged and cause acne! For me, this is a NEED in any skincare routine and so go and buy one now!

2. EXFOLIATOR (Cure) 🌛

This is my go-to exfoliator! At first it may not seem like one because it doesn’t have any beads or grains but once you rub it on your DRY face, you’ll see the magic happen! It ends up taking off all your dead and dry skin! And it’s makes no mess at all! It’s a bit pricey but it’s a huge bottle! It’ll surely last you a few months since you’re only supposed to exfoliate at least 2-3 times a week.

3. CLEANSER (COSRX pH Cleanser) 🌞

So far, this is one of the best cleansers I have ever tried. It’s so gentle yet it really cleans my skin! It takes out all the dirt and impurities! Plus, it even works as a great make-up remover. Whenever I use this to take off make-up, it doesn’t need much! This is my go-to cleanser because after I use, my face always feels squeaky clean!

4. CLEANSER (COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser) 🌛

Another one of my go-to cleansers! I use this one at night only. Unlike other exfoliating cleansers, this one does not dry up my skin! What’s a plus is that it has Salicylic Acid and so it’s great for those prone to acne! And don’t worry cause it works for sensitive skin too. I have sensitive skin and have been using this every night but it never irritated my skin or caused it to peel. That’s saying something!

5. TONER (COSRX AHA BHA Toner) 🌞🌛

By far one of the best toners out there! It is so gentle on my skin! Would definitely recommend this to those of you who have sensitive skin. It doesn’t have much of a scent and it doesn’t sting my skin at all when I apply it. What I also like about this toner is that it makes it easier for me to apply my Vitamin C and chemical exfoliators because it normalizes the pH level of my skin which is what is needed to apply the following products!

6. VITAMIN C (Klairs) 🌛

I tried C21 before but oh was it strong! It didn’t do anything for my sensitive skin except make it even more sensitive. Tbh, it ended up doing more harm than good and so I decided to research for a more gentle vitamin c serum and this is what I found! It’s not too strong and so you won’t see the results right away but you WILL see them. It just takes time! I’d rather take my time than use a stronger product that could do more damage to my skin.

7. DARK SPOT CORRECTOR (Kiehls) 🌛

This is new in my skincare routine. I got this a few weeks back and I have been using it with my vitamin c BUT I only use this for specific areas like for my scars and dark spots. I decided to use this in conjuction with my Klairs Vitamin C because I felt like this specific areas needed an extra push. I use them together and so far they have both been working great for me!

8. AHA / BHA (COSRX) 🌛

I’ve been using BHA but I recently added my AHA. I wanted to try AHA because I wanted to see its effect on my whiteheads. I don’t use it everyday because I feel like that would be too much for my skin. I use it around 3 times a week or more if needed. I’d say it’s been working well for me but a bit of a warning, the smell is pretty unpleasant. And so if you’re sensitive to scents, I suggest you don’t buy it. The BHA on the other hand works well for me! It prevents pimples which I really like plus there is no scent at all and so that’s a plus!

9. ESSENCE (LJH Tea Tree Essence) 🌞🌛

This is another addition to my skincare routine! I really liked my Snail Essence from COSRX but I just wanted to try out another one that could target specifically my oiliness and acne. And so I researched and researched and I found this! I heard this has been working great for those with sensitive skin and I’m glad I decided to try it out because I have been loving it! It really helps calm my skin down especially the redness of my skin. It’s pretty affordable and accessible and so go ahead and buy one!

10. EMULSION (COSRX Natural BHA Emulsion) 🌞🌛

Been using this since the start and I still love it! It’s not just a moisturizer, it also works to make my skin glow as well as “mattify” it. I like using this because it’s very gentle and it really refines my skin texture – making it more smooth and plump! Some people find this unecessary but I’ve had this since the start of my skincare routine and I don’t think I’ll ever let it go!

11. MOISTURIZER (COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream) 🌞🌛

My fave moisturizer ❤ I really love this moisturizer! It is not too heavy, not too light. I have combination skin and so I’m sometimes oily and I have some dry patches and so this moisturizer is perfect for me. I use only a little bit in the morning though and more at night so that I don’t get too oily during the day. This really helps get rid of my dry patches so ugh lifesaver.

12. EYE CREAM (Skinfood Salmon Eye Cream) 🌞🌛

BEST EYE CREAM EVER. I already told you guys before that I have been looking for an eye cream that would help with my “dry” under eyes. And so far, this has been my fave!!! It took me a while to find this one but once I tried it, I instantly saw the difference! The skin under my eyes were no longer dry! Even when I applied concealer! Before my fine lines would be really seen and it looked really bad but thanks to this eye cream, that rarely happens! I apply this every morning and night!

13. SLEEPING PACK (Etude House Sleeping Pack) 🌛

I have been using this sleeping pack since the time I first formed my skincare routine. I was kinda afraid at first that this would make me breakout cause I know Etude House is known for really scented essences and masks but this one doesn’t really have a scent and it’s very gentle on my skin! Plus every time I wake up, my skin always feels hydrated! I’ve had this since last year and there’s still so much product left! So it’s definitely worth the price!

14. SPOT TREATMENT (Mario Badescu Drying Lotion) 🌛

I recently got this but it has already made it to the top of my list. I really wanted to find a strong spot treatment for my acne and so I researched about several brands but I liked this one and it’s now available in Rustans and so I bought it! On my first day of using it, I already noticed the difference! It really shrunk my pimple and dried them out! They were almost gone overnight! Definitely a keeper!

15. ACNE PATCHES (A’pieu Nonco Medicated Acne Patches)🌛

One of my trusty medicated acne patches!!! Whenever I put it on a spot, the next day it’s almost gone! It really works!!! I already wrote a more extensive review on this before so check it out here! 🙂

16. SUNBLOCK (COSRX Aloe Vera SPF) 🌞

My trusty sunblock! Idk what I would do without this sunblock!!!! I used to not wear sunblock because I didn’t like how it clogged my pores and I hated the sticky feeling but I knew I still needed to wear and so I researched for one that would be super light and that wouldn’t cause me to break out. I saw the great reviews of this product and so I bought it and wow it’s amazing!!!!! I never leave the house without it! It actually makes me love putting on sunblock! Which is a big thing for me. If you want a sunblock that doesn’t give you that sticky heavy feeling, this one is for you!

***

Well there you have it! My current and updated skincare routine! If you guys have any questions or concerns, just leave me a comment and I will get back to you ASAP! ☺️

Battle of the Moisturizers: Part I

Here I have another skincare post for you guys! 🙂 I will be talking about 4 different moisturizers: 2 oil-free moisturizers & 2 cream moisturizers. I titled this post “Part I” because I will be reviewing many more different kinds/types/brands in the future!

The 4 moisturizers I chose for this post are as follows: Céleteque Facial Moisturizer (with Triple Moisturizing System), COSRX Aloe Vera Oil-Free Moisture Cream, Etude House True Relief Moist Cream & COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream.

I chose these four moisturizers because I feel that I have been using them long enough to be able to review them. You might be wondering though… “Why does she have so amny moisturizers???” Well, it’s cause it took me a long while to find the right one. My skin is the combination type and so some areas are dry and some are oily. This really frustrates me because it’s like??? What am I supposed to use then??? I’ll put one kind on my t-zone and another kind on the rest of my face??? Isn’t that a hassle? Yeah, it is when you think about it. Buuuuut I’m really happy because I found the right one for me! And therefore, I don’t need to go through that hassle. (I’ll tell you later which one it or better yet, “they” are 😉

Anyway, first, let’s talk about the importance of moisturizers. I’m sure you’ve heard that when it comes to putting together a simple skincare routine, only 3 steps are really necessary: Cleanse, Tone & Moisturize. Those are the three basic steps in any skincare routine. And so is moisturizing your skin really important? The answer is YES. Not only does a moisturizer moisturize or hydrate your skin, it also somehow acts as a protective barrier for your skin as it holds water. Moisturizers are also very very important to those who have dry or sensitive skin- it soothes & improves your complexion. It gives your skin the glow it deserves. I mean, who wouldn’t want glowy beautiful skin? And so next time you think about skipping the moisturizer step in your daily skincare routine cause you’re lazy or in a rush, don’t. Or you’ll regret it later. For sure. Also, I’d like to add a short note on being sanitary when it comes to moisturizers especially moisturizers that come in a tub. Many moisturizers like that nowadays come with a spatula. USE THE SPATULA. That way it won’t get contaminated. Don’t forget that the dirtiest part of your body are your fingers. Once dirt/bacteria gets into that tub, it’ll be hard getting it out.

Mmmm but hey, are you having a hard time picking the right moisturizer for you? Maybe this post will help! These 4 moisturizers are very accessible and affordable so no need to worry!

By the way, I’m using the same criteria I used for the oil/water cleansers post! Packaging,, Effectiveness (if it really does what it says it does), Moisturizing skills and Price.

Let’s get to the review! I’ll start off with the Oil-free gel like moisturizers!

***Recommended for Oily skin/Sensitive skin types***

1. Céleteque Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is a water-based oil-free moisturizer! This is a very gentle brand and so it’s good for all of you who have sensitive skin. Since this is an oil-free and water-based moisturizer, it’s best for oily type skin because it’s not cream-based and so it moisturizes your skin but doesn’t “over moisturize” it.

This moisturizer in particular is very “wet” when you squeeze it out of the bottle, meaning it’s very watery and slippery (as you can see in the photo below)

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

When I took this picture, it was actually dripping down my hand. When spread, it takes a while to be absorbed. My skin felt very wet and slippery until it was fully absorbed which took a pretty long time. Just a note: If you were to use this moisturizer before putting on make-up, you should wait a few minutes or else, your foundation would slip and slide hahaha

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is what it looked like after I spread the product all over my hand. As you can see, it’s very wet and shiny and so like I said, give it time to be absorbed. I would recommend this moisturizer to those with oily/sensitive skin. It may look a bit wet but once it’s absorbed, it really does moisturize the skin. For me, I personally just don’t like how wet it feels on my skin and so this isn’t my go-to moisturizer but hey, if it works for you, it works for you!

Packaging: 8/10

Effectiveness: 7/10

Moisturizing skills: 8/10

Price: 10/10

You can get this in PCX for P231!

2. COSRX Aloe Vera Oil-free Moisture Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is another Oil-free moisture cream that I really like. This is my go-to oil-free moisture cream because it isn’t too watery but isn’t “over-moisturizing” either. Plus the Aloe Vera in this product works to soothe the skin especially if it’s irritated or red. And I can tell you it does just that!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

As you can see, this moisturizer isn’t as watery as the first. When I put it on my hand, it wasn’t dripping, it stayed put. And so I’d describe this as more of a gel-type moisturizer.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Compared to the first moisturizer I tested, this was absorbed much faster thus it isn’t as shiny as you can see in the photo above. I recommend this moisturizer to those of you who have oily/sensitive skin. This product really soothes irritated skin and so when I’m having bad breakouts, this is my go-to moisturizer. I also use this as my regular morning moisturizer because it’s easily absorbed and therfore I don’t have to wait long until I can apply my make-up.

Packaging: 7/10 (tubs are hard to keep sanitary)

Effectiveness: 9/10

Moisturizing skills: 8.5/10

Price: 8/10 (it’s a bit pricey but I think it’s worth it)

You can buy this on the COSRX website, skincarecurator.com or from other instagram stores for varied prices that sell kbeauty products!

Let’s move on to the cream based moisturizers!

*** Recommended for those with dry/sensitive/combination skin types***

3. Etude House True Relief Moist Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is a cream-based moisturizing cream. I bought this last year because my skin was getting really dry for some strange reason and it got to the point when I just wanted to peel everything off and so I rushed to look for most moisturizing cream I could find and this was the one I ended up buying. Note: these kinds of moisturizers are very good for people with dry skin because it gives enough moisture to get rid of the dry patches/ares on your face.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

As you can see from the photo above, it is very thick, almost like a paste. I was kind of hesitant to put this on my whole face especially my t-zone because of the thickness. I was afraid it would clog my pores and so I decided to only put it on my dry patches.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

It worked to hydrate those dry patches but I wouldn’t say this is a miracle moisturizer- meaning, it’s a moisturizer I wouldn’t mind replacing (which I did). I just felt that it was too heavy on my skin and not the good kind of heavy. Yeah, it moisturized my dry patches but if there were a better option (which I know there is), I would let go of this one for sure.

Packaging: 7/10 (tubs are hard to keep sanitary)

Effectiveness: 7/10 (it moisturizes but clogs pores)

Moisturizing skills: 8.5/10

Price: 6/10 (super expensive and not super worth it if you ask me)

You can buy this at Etude House for P1,348!

4. COSRX Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is actually what I replaced True Relief with. I wasn’t satisfied with it (True Relief) and I knew there was something better and so I did some research and I found this. And to be honest, I am sooo happy I did! Like the previous moisturzer, this is a cream-based one. But the consistency is different compared to True Relief.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

It’s kind of hard to explain the consistency of this product. It’s much stickier compared to the other one but less thick. When I apply it on my face, it feels a bit weird at first because of the stickiness but after a while, the feeling goes away. That’s what I like about this moisturizer. It seems thick and really moisturizes your skin but it’s very lightweight.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is the kind of thick moisturizer that I am not afraid to use all over my face. I actually use this every night (It’s a bit to heavy to use during the day). When I wake up, my skin feels very hydrated and moisturized (after applying this, I always put on my sleeping pack).

The two main ingredients in this product that I really think are stellar are honey and ceramide. Honey really works to moisturize and soothe my skin while ceramide works to keep the moisture locked in as well as the skin firm and healthy. I would recommend this moisturizer for those with dry/combination/sensitive skin. This has caused me no breakouts whatsoever. It’s very gentle and it really does its job!

Packaging: 7/10 (tubs are hard to keep sanitary)

Effectiveness: 10/10 (YAS)

Moisturizing skills: 10/10

Price: 8/10 (not the best price but 100% worth it)

You can buy this on the COSRX website, skincarecurator.com or from other instagram stores for varied prices that sell kbeauty products!

Well there you have it! 4 different moisturizers that could work for you and your skin type! Don’t forget to moisturize every morning and night guys! Your skin will thank you later 😉

I hope this was able to help you guys a bit! 🙂

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo your way & be a Princess for a day! 👸🏽👸🏻👸🏼

This is my favorite post so far.

Well, I’ve only made 5 posts so far but still hahaha…

Who here has always dreamed of being a Disney Princess? I’m sure a lot of you have!

What I love about my current job is that I get to live that dream every single weekend.

Short background.

Ever since I was a little girl, it’s always been my dream to be a Disney Princess. My mom told me that at two-years-old, I already started singing Disney songs. I sang ‘Part of Your World’ with a fork and even ‘Gaston’ with all the voices! And so she says it’s no surprise that I do what I do today.

Disney was a BIG PART of my childhood. And so when I got into Madison Events Inc. (check out their fb page!!!), you can just imagine how excited I was to finally live my dream of being a Disney Princess!!! Every weekend, I get to dress up as a different Disney Princess and every time it is still so magical.

I’ve been doing this for almost two years and I’ve never been happier. It’s come to a point when it isn’t even just about my dream anymore but about the childrens’ dreams. Seeing their eyes light up when I come into the room as their favorite Disney Princess makes this experience so much more fulfilling. It’s a blessing every single day 🙂

Throughout my journey as a Disney Princess, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks about that I would like to share with you all in this post today! It isn’t hard to be a princess, it just takes faith, trust, pixie dust and well, lots and lots of make-up!

***Note: I wasn’t able to use the costumes or wigs for my final look because all of them are owned by Madison Events and so I just made do with whatever I had at home hahaha***

ARIEL

img_6214

Ariel is my personal favorite. I consider ‘The Little Mermaid’ one of the best Disney Princess movies ever and if you don’t agree with me, I will fight you. (Really). Ariel was one of the first Disney Princesses I’ve got to be for Madison Events. I remember trying on the costume for the first time and how it was just right for me. Tbh, I’ve stuck to Ariel ever since.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor this look, I chose to focus on blues and greens…yknow “mermaid colors” (look, my highighter is blue!!!) Also, I used a sort of reddish eyeshadow for my brows since she’s a redhead (but I didn’t have a red wig huhu). For my lips, I used Happy Skin x Disney Ariel lipstick! Always moisturize lips beforehand! (Note: For most of my performances, I use Happy Skin lipstick depending on the princess I’m playing)

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight: Wet n Wild Rainbow Highlighter

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & NYX

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Ariel Lipstick

FINISHED LOOK:

Complete with hair & costume……….

ELSA

img_6213

Elsa is next in line as my favorite Disney Princess!!! (well… Queen) hahaha if I’m not playing Ariel, it’s usually cause I’m playing Elsa. Personally, I love doing Elsa’s make-up the most because I like how she has more eye make-up than most of the other Princesses (check out the picture above!!!) This makes it more challenging and fun 🙂

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor this look, I focused on the eyes. I usually do a smokey eye look with purple shades for Elsa’s make-up. Aside from that, I make sure that my eyebrows aren’t too dark since she’s blonde and so I like to use Etude House’s liquid Brow Gel in super light brown to keep my brows light! For my lips, I always use my Happy Skin Elsa Lipstick! (Note: I don’t usually like dark shades of lipstick on me but for some reason, this works!!!)

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight – Anastasia Glow Kit Sun-dipped (Summer)

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Morphe 35W

Brows – Etude House Brow Gel (light brown)

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Elsa Lipstick

FINISHED LOOK:

Complete with hair & costume……

SNOW WHITE

img_6216

Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of Snow White. Maybe it’s because of the scary witch or because her Prince didn’t even have a name??? IDK I just never liked her. Recently though, I was given the chance to play her… And I have to say that getting to be her was quite fun, especially cause of the make-up (HAHAHA)

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor Snow White, it’s all about the lips and eyebrows. I used the Happy Skin Ariel Lipstick + Anna Lipstick cause I don’t have the Snow White one to make it more red. For the eyebrows, I used my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate and I just made sure to really shade my brows so that they’re very dark and prominent. Aside from that, I also did a bit of a smokey eyeshadow look for this one. If you noticed in the movie, Snow has dark eyelids!!! And so I conclude that she started the smokey eye look. *bows*

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight – Make-up Revolution Sugar n Spice (pink highlight shade)

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Lorac Pro

Brows – Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade (Chocolate)

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Ariel Lipstick + Anna Lipstick

BELLE

img_6215

Whenever I tell people about my job, the first thing they always as is, “Do you play Belle?” I don’t know, I guess I come across as a Belle??? Believe it or not, I’ve only played Belle twice. But both times have been amazing. I would like to be her again and again. I feel like Belle is such a classy princess and so you’ll notice that my make-up for her is very elegant and simple.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor this look, the key was SIMPLICITY. Belle is a simple princess who doesn’t need royalty or riches. Give her a book and she’s good!!! And so I kept the make-up light. I kept my eyeshadow simple by using pink for the base and using dark brown for the crease. I also added a bit of gold/bronze in the middle of the lid to add a bit more ‘hmph’. As for the eyebrows, they’re a bit darker than Elsa’s but still light. For the cheeks and contour, I kept it very natural looking. For the lips, again I used Happy Skin x Disney, Belle’s shade!

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight – Anastasia Glow Kit Sun Dipped (summer)

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Juvia’s (Nubian 2 palette)

Brows – K- Palette Eyebrow powder (dark brown)

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Belle Lipstick

FINISHED LOOK:

Complete with hair & costume…….
