Travel 101: My Must-Haves when Traveling ✈️

Soooooo I just got back from Guam!!! If you guys don’t know, I was actually born there and so it was pretty cool to go back after 22 years. I went with my best friend, Lizelle whom I have been friends with since I was kindergarten! She’s pretty much my travel buddy! It’s our lifelong dream to travel the world together. So far, we’ve been to Singapore, Japan, Spain, Canada and now Guam. Up next, USA??? Maybe 😉

I’ve been traveling a lot recently – last year I went to the U.S., New Zealand, Australia and Japan. I just love traveling! My love for traveling came about because I was exposed to it at a very young age. Traveling was and is still my family’s way of bonding. Every summer, we would go some place new. It’s something that I’ve always looked forward to! Now that I’m older, I not only get to travel with my family but with my friends as well – in April, I plan to go to Palawan, in June, I’m going on a roadtrip across the USA with my family and in August, my friend Bea and I are going to Korea (which I’m so excited for cause BEAUTY PRODUCTS AHHH) Anyway, those are just some of the few places I plan to go to this year but there are still so many on my list and I’m just hoping that I get to go to them all ❤️

Anyway… do you need help packing for your next trip? Well, here is a list of my own MUST HAVES when traveling! This post is for all you young travelers out there! Travel 101: My Must Haves when Traveling!

Okay, so this is just my thing. I loveeee having pretty/witty/colorful cases with lots of personality – especially when I’m traveling. Because one, it lessens the chance of me mixing up some of my stuff with my friend’s things and two, it just makes everything much more fun for me! There’s just so much personality (especially with these specific cases) and it just really describes me as a person. I mean, what better way to describe yourself than with your travel organizers?

These are your passport, boarding pass, hotel reservation, credit card, cash, itinerary etc. These are very important when it comes to traveling. They’re the reason you can travel in the first place! When it comes to your passport, make sure you have an extra photocopy version with you at all times in case of emergencies or you could also take a picture of it with your phone. As for your cash, something I like to do is only take a certain amount with me and leave the rest in the SAFE in the hotel room. This allows me to budget my money (bahahaha) and in case someone steals my bag while I’m out *knocks on wood*, I still have extra cash back in the hotel room! When it comes to the itinerary, I like having an idea of what I want to do. On some days, I schedule trips and visits but on other days I like to just go out and explore and let my feet take me wherever! So this one is completely up to you!

I cannot travel without my camera. AS IN. This is a need!!!! I only got into photography in my third year of college but since then, I have always brought my camera with me everywhere. Some people ask me what camera I use for my blogposts and it’s my Canon 70D! I love Canon! I think they’re very user-friendly and they take quality pictures! My favorite form of photography though is portrait photography – and so I like taking pictures of people, animals, objects. I find landscape photography quite a challenge. I still have to master it but that doesn’t stop me from taking pictures of the beautiful places I get to visit.

These are the important gadgets I need while traveling! These include my laptop, phone and powerbank! I usually bring my laptop during long trips because I have to transfer and edit pictures. A powerbank is something that is very useful but I always forget to bring one! Idk why I always forget but it’s a good thing my friend, Lizelle always brings two. She knows me so well!

I ended up buying this purple pillow in the airport because I totally forgot mine (?) This is a need for me because I have such a hard time sleeping in the plane without this! Plus I get really bad neck pain. Good thing is you can get this almost anywhere and they come in a bunch of colors and designs! Aside from my pillow, I also like bringing my little companion which is a meaningful/important stuffed toy. I know, I’m such a child but I can’t leave home without one! This is Shao-Shao! Both my boyfriend and I have one hahaha and he’s been my little buddy for a while so I decided to bring him with me. I can’t sleep without Shap-Shao! Especially if I’m in an unfamiliar place.

This is my trusty makeup travel kit! This only has the makeup that I really NEED for the trip – so that’s my everyday foundation, concealer, powder, blush, lip stick etc. I don’t like bringing all my makeup with me especially when traveling cause there’s a risk I might lose something or there’s a risk that my carry-on bag may be a bit overweight hahahaha just so you know, this is the one I also carry with me in my bag when I got out for the day. They basically contain the same things! When packing your makeup travel kit, think about what you NEED and what you actually plan to use. That way you save space and weight!

Going to a country with hot weather? You’re gonna need these two! I like brining a cap with me everywhere just cause I like wearing caps in general. I don’t bring it just cause it’ll be sunny hehe, I also bring it as a fashion statement – but it definitely is more than that. As for my sunglasses, I always make sure to bring at least one pair (which could go with any of my outfits). I have very sensitive eyes and so this is a must for me! I hate squinting plus it’ll give you fine lines so bring a pair! You might think you need more than one cause of the many different outfits you’ll wear but trust me, one is more than enough!

If you’re like me and you like writing down your plans for the day/memories, then do yourself a favor and bring a planner. I always bring my planner with me everywhere I go and so it’s convenient that my planner is tiny. (hi tiny Starbucks planner) I DO NOT like forgetting things and so I always make sure to fill up my planner. Especially when it comes to traveling, it helps me remember the places I explored, the people I met and the memories I made!

I, for one, take A LOT of pictures. And that requires me to transfer them to my hard drive or else I will have no space. And so I always make sure to bring my hard drive with me whenever I go on trips! This makes it so much easier cause I don’t need to worry about limiting my pictures. I can just click away (which I love to do) hahaha Seagate has been the only brand for me since I got my first hard drive and it has made my life so much easier!!!! I cannot stress this enough!

Are you a skincare addict? Yeah, me too. This is another must for me. I need to bring my skincare products with me everywhere! I try to cut them down so my bag isn’t too heavy but sometimes I can’t help it. Here’s a tip though (which I didn’t do haahaha) buy small containers from Beabi (check that store out! They have the BEST ORGANIZERS) so that you don’t have to bring your full-sized products! I didn’t have time to buy and so I wasn’t able to do this but next time I will for sure! This will make things so much easier for you because one, your luggage won’t be as heavy (mine was heavy cause of all of these) and two, if you lose it, it’s KINDA fine since you have the actual product safe at home!

That’s it for my travel must bring post! What do you guys think I should add to this list?

I know it was pretty short. My schedule has been crazy lately but I promise you guys that I’ll come out with more posts next week! Stay tuned for my blog post about Guam as well as my SKINCARE HAUL POST next week! I’m sure you guys will enjoy it!!! 💖

9 Lipstick Shades & How to Rock ‘Em 💄

If I could choose only one make-up product to have with me on a deserted island, it would be my trusty little lipstick.

I honestly don’t know how I could go a day without wearing any! Even on a “no make-up” day, I make sure I’ve got some lipstick on. I guess it’s cause, one, I’m really pale and so if I don’t wear lipstick, I look dead and two, I just love how lipstick color can affect/change your whole look just like that.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

For this post, I am going to be showing you guys 9 different shades of lipstick and how to to rock ’em! Note: My make-up for this whole post is an ‘everyday make-up’ look and so I kept everything natural and light. I chose to do everyday make-up because I want to show you guys that you can wear these shades any time of the day! I mean, if you can work it, why not? Also, I think it’s fun experimenting with different colored lipsticks everyday without needing your face to be fully made with make-up. Plus, I’m saving the full on make-up look for another post coming soon 😉

BUT before we get to the make-up part, let’s first talk about lip care because I think this is very important.

I grew up with naturally chapped lips (so sad). I think it’s because I never drank enough water? And so ya’ll better make sure you hydrate to have nice soft lips. Anyway because of that, it’s always a challenge for me to wear lipstick, especially matte ones cause there are times when my lips are so dry and so they look terrible (ugh it’s so frustrating).

I, later on, realized that I needed to take special care of my lips considering the problems I have. So this is what I started to do:

Drinking lots of water actually makes your lips look so much better. When you’re hydrated, your lips won’t be chapped. Try it! I swear it works!

I exfoliate my lips at least three times a week with SARA HAPP Brown Sugar Lip Scrub. This helps me get rid of the dry skin and keeps my lips super smooth!

Do you know what I hate? When I look for my lip balm in my bag and I realize I’ve forgotten it. It’s the worst feeling when I have to bear with chapped lips the whole day! When this happens, I usually go to the supermarket to find cheap lip balm because I cannot. I repeat, I CANNOT spend a whole day with chapped lips. And so keep this in your everyday make-up bag! Bring lip balm everywhere you go!!!

For my lip balm, I use Papaw! It’s from Australia. And it’s really affordable! When I went to Australia, I made sure to buy a lot! What makes it great is that it’s actually not just lip balm, you can use it to treat different things but the thing is it really moisturizes my lips and so I use it as my trusty balm.

I got into this recently actually. About 6 months ago, I heard about Laneige and how everyone loved it. I saw this lip product and I was like… What is this??? I decided to buy it because of my chapped lips problem and voila it has done wonders for me!!! I put it on at night and I wake up with smooth, soft, moisturized lips! This Lip Sleeping Pack is a bit pricey but for all of you who suffer with the same problem I do, it is SO worth it.

Okay, now that we’re done with lip care, we can move on to the main feature of this post.

Here are 9 lipstick shades & how to rock each one!

I am nude girl. I know that sounds weird but it’s true, for lipsticks at least.

Nude colors are my go-to lipstick shades. When I’m lazy to go through my lipstick collection, I just grab a nude lippie and head out the door! Recently, my fave has been NYX Soft Matte Cream in LONDON which is why I am going to start with this one!

NYX Soft Matte Cream in LONDON

As you can see, it looks like it’s been used a lot… which it has tbh. Like I said, this is my go-to lipstick. Since I’m pretty fair, nude shades look a bit more saturated on me which I really like. Even if I go with a nude shade, the color still pops.

For this, I went with a natural look. I used light pink & brown eyeshadow and topped it off with some super light gold. For my blush, I used a light orange/peach tone to keep the look simple and sweet

Make-up used: Foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte (120), Concealer – Revlon Colorstay (fair), Eyebrows – K-Palette Eyebrow Powder (Light Brown), Eyeliner – Revlon Colorstay (black), Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Juvia Nubian 2 Palette, Blush – Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush (blissful), Lipstick – NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (London)

TARTEIST Glossy Lip Paint in OBVI

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is one of my other go-to nude lipsticks!!! This is more of a gloss though and so it doesn’t have a matte finish. I personally prefer matte but sometimes, I like to play around a bit and so this is my go-to glossy lip paint cause it’s very light pink and natural. This is Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint in shade OBVI!

For this look, I stuck to the natural everyday make-up look. Compared to the blush I used for the first look, I used one that’s more pink since my lips have a pinkier shade. As for the eyes, I kept it simple again with pink and rose shades from the Tartelette Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette.

***Note: I forgot to swatch NYX and I only started swatching now… hence the lack of this kind of picture above hahaha***

 Colourpop Lippe Stix in BRINK

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

When the Colourpop hype first started, this was the first thing I bought. I really like how it really saturates my lips but the pink is still pretty light. And it’s not drying!!! So that’s a plus! It’s not too glossy and not too matte.

Again, my make-up is very light. I like the “no-makeup make-up look” whenever I’m wearing nude/light pink lipstick. It just seems very simple and classy to me. For my everyday look, I tend to focus on my brows, cheeks and lashes, that way, I never look “too made up”.

I’m not usually a ‘color’ type of girl. I get shy to pull off certain shades hahaha I would always go with some nude lipstick BUT when I’m in the mood to play around and try out different colors, I always have a fun time doing it! For this, I chose 3 shades: super pink, lavender and dark orange!

JEFFREE STAR Velour Liquid Lipstick in DOLL PARTS

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This is some poppin’ pink liquid lipstick… as in Katy Perry POPPIN’. Hahaha since my skin is pretty fair, this color really pops! And so this is a lipstick I would wear if I were feeling tired but still wanna look alive and playful!

For this look, I decided to play around a bit! For my eyes, I used my Morphe 35W palette. I used pink shades! But still kept it light! For my blush, I used Makeup Revolution’s Sugar n’ Spice Blush palette because I wanted my blush to compliment my lips and so I chose the pinkest shade! Be careful not to overdo it though! You can go all pink without overdoing your whole look!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in REQUIEM

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Talk about bringing out the purple!!! This liquid lipstick is crazy purple!!! It was my first time to try it and a purple lippie in general and so I was surprised at how purple it was. I don’t think I’ll be using this much though because purple shades don’t really look good on me. I don’t know if it’s cause I’m light or pale? They just make me look really down and ‘faded’. But anyway, I still had fun doing this look! Also just a note: this lipstick is truly everlasting. It took me forever to wipe it all off. Even when I was wiping it off my arm, it took so much effort!! And so kudos to you Kat Von D, it is truly everlasting.

For this look, I went with a rosier shade of pink/purple for my eyes. As for my blush, I went to purple side to match my lips but I still kept it light! Again, for this post, I want to showcase looks that can be used everyday and so most of my make-up looks here are very natural and light.

Kylie Mini Matte Liquid Lipstick in GINGER

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I don’t really do dark shades but this seems to really work for me. At first I was afraid (I was petrified… lol jk ok bye) that it wouldn’t look good on me cause it’s kinda dark but when I put it on, I saw that it had a nice dark orange shade.

For this look, I used Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette. It has a super nice shade of orange that I wanted to try out. And so this was the perfect time to do so! Again, I kept it light and classy but I darkened my eyeliner and mascara just a bit for this look. Also, I kept my cheeks light and peach!

Usually when I wear dark shades like this one, I let my lips do all the talking, meaning, I don’t wear much face make-up and instead focus on the lips and let them shine!

Now we move on to the shades I like to call, “night time, party time”! These are the shades I would only wear at night or at a party or a concert or an event! BUT if you guys prefer to wear these colors during the day then go ahead and rock ’em! It’s just that for me, these colors are a bit too ‘loud’ and so I’m shy to wear them like to the mall or something hahaha

For these last few looks, I darkened my eyes a bit more so that I could get into that “night time, party time” mood! My make-up is still pretty light, like my face isn’t fully made and so this could actually still be a “day thing” if it works for you!

Colourpop Ultra Metallic in MAN EATER

I LOVE THIS. I don’t wear it all the time but I freaking love this!!! I never thought I would like wearing something shiny and glittery but I tried it one time for my Thanksgiving dinner and I really liked how it looked. At first you may think that it may look “too much” but it’s actually really subtle and sweet-looking. Also, it is not drying at all! This is coming from a girl who has dry lips… and this is coloupop. And so that means something! And look at that glow!!!

For this look, I kept it natural still. Just added a bit of darker eyeliner and more mascara. I used my LORAC Pro Palette for this look and some peach color for blush.

Lips as red as rose.

That’s how I would describe this liquid lipstick. I like the color red but I prefer dark red tbh. When it comes to bright red, I tend to stay away because I don’t feel super comfortable wearing it yet hahaha unless I’m going out at night (thus it’s in this group). I am super jealous of those people who can rock red lips any time of the day.

I decided to get this shade because I wanted to try it out, wearing really red lipstick. It’s still something I’m getting used to but for sure I am enjoying the “experimentation process” with the different looks and all. For this, I added a little red on my cheeks and I made my eye shadow darker, almost a smokey eye but not quite because again, I’m trying to keep it as natural as possible.

Last but definitely not the least, the darkest shade of them all: NYX Lingerie in Beauty Mark!

Lately, these really dark shades have been the “in thing”. Even the color black!!! Who knew that black would eventually become a lipstick color??? Hahaha I haven’t tried it yet but maybe soon, I will, just for fun! For this look, instead of focusing on the cheeks, I focused on my eyes. I did a bit of a smokey eye look but kept it simple with light brown, dark brown and gold shades. When it comes to SUPER dark colors, I make sure to add a bit more make-up on my face so that I don’t look like I’m “over-doing” it with my lipstick but hey, that’s just me.

There you have it! 9 lipstick shades and how to rock ’em! But before I end my post, here are a few more tips for you guys: one, always moisturize your lips before wearing any matte lipstick especially when it comes to Colourpop and Kylie cause these liquid lipsticks are very drying! Two, when in doubt, go nude! Nude lipsticks go with absolutely anything and so if you’re feeling lazy or you’re just in your sweats heading to the mall, go nude. Three, confidence is key to rocking great lipstick shades! Wear whatever shade you want, whenever you want! 💖

Leadiiinglady Travels: San Felipe, Zambales

Presenting, my first LL (leadiiinglady) Travels post! Enjoy 💜

Last January 28, I went on a day trip to San Felipe, Zambales with my best friend, Liz & my boyfriend, Boo.

Before that, Boo told me that he saw something on Facebook about going to Zambales for tree planting & meeting the tribes. It was from a page called MAD Travel PH – Tribes, Treks & Islands. I checked it out and saw that they had different kinds of packages. Some included an overnight stay in Circle Hostel, others included island hopping. But because of our busy schedules,we decided to go with the day trip package.

(Liz- Boo- Me) My little adventure crew!

For this post, I will be telling you all about our trip to Zambales: our time with the Aetas and the adventures in between. Note: all pictures were taken and edited by me (except for the ones I’m in of course, they were taken by Boo) Ty btw to Liz and Boo for being the best models and greatest company ❤

We all met up and left Manila at 3am. It takes you around 4 hours to get there and we needed to be at the Circle Hostel, Zambales by 7:15 and so we decided to leave at that time.

Luckily it wasn’t that traffic and so we got there at exactly 7am.

Sign in front of Circle Hostel!

I wasn’t able to take a picture inside so the sign will have to do. Circle Hostel pretty much looks like a giant hut. It is very quaint and the wood’s been painted with many different colors. I wasn’t able to explore the second floor and so I’ll tell you guys a bit about the first floor. The first floor is divided into two parts: the eating area and the sleeping & shower area. In the eating area, there are wooden tables and chairs to sit on. The sleeping quarters on the other hand are filled with hammocks to sleep on that they just fold up during the day time. It was pretty interesting. I haven’t seen anything like that before and so for sure, I’ll come back to experience an overnight stay here.

To get to the grounds where the trek started, we had to take a jeep and a car. I chose to ride the jeep. I love riding jeepneys for some reason! Swear. It was a pretty long ride, around 20-30 minutes before we got to the area where we would start the trek.

At first, it was mostly mud we were trekking on, surrounded by tall grassimg_6392img_6417

And then it became sand, a wide stretch of endless sand.

Hi Liz & Boo

Look at that view!

Say hello to some of our guides.

From the get go, I could already tell that this was going to be a difficult but BEAUTIFUL trek. Yeah, the sand was pretty deep and it was hard to keep walking (esp with barely any hours of sleep) but the scenery captivated me and made every hard step worth it.

Say hello to our four-legged friend (and Manong- who doesn’t seem amused 😞 hahaha)

The two were really excited for this picture with their new friend.

Throughout the trek we walked through sand, mud, and- water.

Note: If you decide to go on this trek, use either sandals, slippers or trekking shoes! Don’t use your nice rubber shoes because there is now way you can get through this trek without getting them super duper dirty.

After about an hour and a half of trekking, we all decided to take a dip. The water was so cold! It felt AMAZING. It was also crystal clear and so I really appreciated that (random fact about me: I don’t like dipping my feet when I can’t see what I’m stepping on hahaha)

Afterwards, we started on our trek again. BUT this time we got to ride on the carabao thingy which Lizelle really enjoyed, as you can see.

After 45 minutes, we finally got to our destination: the Aeta village.

*****Note: I wasn’t able to take a lot of pictures of the Aeta village because I chose to be interactive instead of behind the lens the whole time. I did take a few pictures though especially of the kids- they really enjoyed smiling for the camera.*****

When we got to the village, the people were very welcoming. They smiled at us as we passed by and the children were hiding behind the older ones wondering who we were but smiling nonetheless. (I think they were shy at the start but they eventually warmed up to us)

They served us ube chips and lemongrass tea for snacks. I don’t really eat ube but I decided to eat the chips out of courtesy and hey I actually really liked them! Also, they made it out of their local ube and so that’s pretty cool!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a picture of our lunch but for lunch they fed us fish, adobo, tinola and rice. I tried everything and they were all delicious. While we were eating, they kept asking me if I was okay, if the food was good and if I wanted more. They were very very very accommodating.

After lunch, we got to explore the village and the few activities they had. Some of us tried Archery with bows and arrows they made themselves while the others (including me) went to the classroom to interact with the children and read them books. We noticed that they would pick a random book and just skim through the pages. They didn’t understand the words. Unfortunately, I’m not very good at my Tagalog and so Boo decided to translate some books for them and the children enjoyed this very much.

Selfie with all the kids!

The children were very happy and friendly and they loved smiling for the camera! Click away for a better look!

After the activities, the chief toured us around the village showing us different planting grounds, trees and huts. It was great because we got to learn a lot about their livelihood. Afterwards, they told us that they prepared a short program for us. First, one of the elders danced their “courtship dance”, she even pulled a few boys from the group to dance with her. Later on, the children performed a dance that mimics the actions of different animals. We were all having fun because everyone was so funny and game. There was a point during one of the dances when Boo and I both got pulled in and at first I was SUPER SHY cause I don’t dance but then someone went “You’re doing it!” and I was like OMG??? And then there. I got confident hahaha. For the last dance, they made it a bit of a “competition”. They would give flower crowns to those who danced the best. I got one so that must mean something right??? I really had a great time 🙂

The next part of our adventure was tree planting! It’s the goal of the village as well as the people behind it (with Circle Hostel and Mad Travel PH) to save the rainforests in the Philippines. With the help of the indigenous tribes, they are working to plant as many trees as possible to benefit the land as well as the people who live in these areas. For this activity, we each brought with us two little trees to the tree planting grounds around 30 minutes away from the village.

This little one wanted to join us. She brought her own little tree with her!

This was on our way to the tree planting grounds.

This picture doesn’t give justice to this view.

One of my favorite photos from this trip 🙂

I have such beautiful friends 🙂 hahaha

I am very happy with my plants.

At the tree planting grounds.

Tree planting grounds/nursery

We were all assigned to do different things. Some of us worked on uprooting the bigger trees from the nursery and transferring them outside, others worked on fixing the canopy on top of the nursery while some even worked on cleaning and maintaining the nursery.

(Here is Boo trying to figure out how to cut some branches off a tree since we needed extra wood for the little trees’ support.)

Here are our last few pictures from the trip!

With the chief of the Aeta Village.

I loveeee this picture of some of the children!!

Playing with the water.

Another picture I really like 🙂

Afterwards, it was finally time to head home. As we were saying goodbye, the children smiled & waved and I couldn’t help but feel really happy that I got to spend the day with them. It’s the first time I’ve ever done something like this. (I’ve never met an indigenous tribe before) But for sure this experience will not be my last.

On our way back, we got to ride the carabao cart thingy again and for a while, I actually fell asleep. It was actually super comfortable!

After we got back to the town, we ended our adventure with a sunset by the beach.

Sunset by the beach to end the day.

All in all, this day was nothing short of wonderful. Never in a million years did I think I was going to be doing this. But now I’m thinking, why didn’t I do this sooner?

I’m just really glad I have someone who likes taking me on adventures to new places. (Hi Boo!)

Stay tuned for my next post which is “love-themed” for Valentine’s Day! For those who are single, in a relationship, ‘it’s complicated’ and even married! 😉💖

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo your way & be a Princess for a day! 👸🏽👸🏻👸🏼

This is my favorite post so far.

Well, I’ve only made 5 posts so far but still hahaha…

Who here has always dreamed of being a Disney Princess? I’m sure a lot of you have!

What I love about my current job is that I get to live that dream every single weekend.

Short background.

Ever since I was a little girl, it’s always been my dream to be a Disney Princess. My mom told me that at two-years-old, I already started singing Disney songs. I sang ‘Part of Your World’ with a fork and even ‘Gaston’ with all the voices! And so she says it’s no surprise that I do what I do today.

Disney was a BIG PART of my childhood. And so when I got into Madison Events Inc. (check out their fb page!!!), you can just imagine how excited I was to finally live my dream of being a Disney Princess!!! Every weekend, I get to dress up as a different Disney Princess and every time it is still so magical.

I’ve been doing this for almost two years and I’ve never been happier. It’s come to a point when it isn’t even just about my dream anymore but about the childrens’ dreams. Seeing their eyes light up when I come into the room as their favorite Disney Princess makes this experience so much more fulfilling. It’s a blessing every single day 🙂

Throughout my journey as a Disney Princess, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks about that I would like to share with you all in this post today! It isn’t hard to be a princess, it just takes faith, trust, pixie dust and well, lots and lots of make-up!

***Note: I wasn’t able to use the costumes or wigs for my final look because all of them are owned by Madison Events and so I just made do with whatever I had at home hahaha***

Ariel is my personal favorite. I consider ‘The Little Mermaid’ one of the best Disney Princess movies ever and if you don’t agree with me, I will fight you. (Really). Ariel was one of the first Disney Princesses I’ve got to be for Madison Events. I remember trying on the costume for the first time and how it was just right for me. Tbh, I’ve stuck to Ariel ever since.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor this look, I chose to focus on blues and greens…yknow “mermaid colors” (look, my highighter is blue!!!) Also, I used a sort of reddish eyeshadow for my brows since she’s a redhead (but I didn’t have a red wig huhu). For my lips, I used Happy Skin x Disney Ariel lipstick! Always moisturize lips beforehand! (Note: For most of my performances, I use Happy Skin lipstick depending on the princess I’m playing)

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight: Wet n Wild Rainbow Highlighter

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & NYX

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Ariel Lipstick

Complete with hair & costume……….

Elsa is next in line as my favorite Disney Princess!!! (well… Queen) hahaha if I’m not playing Ariel, it’s usually cause I’m playing Elsa. Personally, I love doing Elsa’s make-up the most because I like how she has more eye make-up than most of the other Princesses (check out the picture above!!!) This makes it more challenging and fun 🙂

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor this look, I focused on the eyes. I usually do a smokey eye look with purple shades for Elsa’s make-up. Aside from that, I make sure that my eyebrows aren’t too dark since she’s blonde and so I like to use Etude House’s liquid Brow Gel in super light brown to keep my brows light! For my lips, I always use my Happy Skin Elsa Lipstick! (Note: I don’t usually like dark shades of lipstick on me but for some reason, this works!!!)

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight – Anastasia Glow Kit Sun-dipped (Summer)

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Morphe 35W

Brows – Etude House Brow Gel (light brown)

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Elsa Lipstick

Complete with hair & costume……

Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of Snow White. Maybe it’s because of the scary witch or because her Prince didn’t even have a name??? IDK I just never liked her. Recently though, I was given the chance to play her… And I have to say that getting to be her was quite fun, especially cause of the make-up (HAHAHA)

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor Snow White, it’s all about the lips and eyebrows. I used the Happy Skin Ariel Lipstick + Anna Lipstick cause I don’t have the Snow White one to make it more red. For the eyebrows, I used my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate and I just made sure to really shade my brows so that they’re very dark and prominent. Aside from that, I also did a bit of a smokey eyeshadow look for this one. If you noticed in the movie, Snow has dark eyelids!!! And so I conclude that she started the smokey eye look. *bows*

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight – Make-up Revolution Sugar n Spice (pink highlight shade)

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Lorac Pro

Brows – Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade (Chocolate)

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Ariel Lipstick + Anna Lipstick

Whenever I tell people about my job, the first thing they always as is, “Do you play Belle?” I don’t know, I guess I come across as a Belle??? Believe it or not, I’ve only played Belle twice. But both times have been amazing. I would like to be her again and again. I feel like Belle is such a classy princess and so you’ll notice that my make-up for her is very elegant and simple.

Processed with VSCO with hb1 presetFor this look, the key was SIMPLICITY. Belle is a simple princess who doesn’t need royalty or riches. Give her a book and she’s good!!! And so I kept the make-up light. I kept my eyeshadow simple by using pink for the base and using dark brown for the crease. I also added a bit of gold/bronze in the middle of the lid to add a bit more ‘hmph’. As for the eyebrows, they’re a bit darker than Elsa’s but still light. For the cheeks and contour, I kept it very natural looking. For the lips, again I used Happy Skin x Disney, Belle’s shade!

Make-up used:

Foundation – NAKED Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector (Light- Medium)

Concealer – Etude House Big Puff Concealer (Sand)

Setting Powder – RCMA Powder

Blush – Happy Skin Enchanted Rose Blush (Peach)

Contour – Tony Moly Contour Stick (darkest shade)

Highlight – Anastasia Glow Kit Sun Dipped (summer)

Eyeshadow – Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette & Juvia’s (Nubian 2 palette)

Brows – K- Palette Eyebrow powder (dark brown)

Mascara – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes (black)

Lipstick – Happy Skin x Disney Belle Lipstick

Complete with hair & costume…….
